Description
12x24" 30x60cm acrylic on hardboard
Well I've now used up my backlog of 12x24" pieces that are left over from cutting two 18x24" pieces out of a 2x4' sheet of hardboard. It is an interesting shape to work with, but I don't have any frames to put them in so they sort of go to waste. I like to hang up every piece I do for a few days just to enjoy it before putting it away.
This piece is an old theme done pretty much in an old manner. Only the shape of the piece is different. I do like keeping in things that don't look quite right -- in this case the blue hunks of shadow in the trees -- just to be ornery.

Being more carefree (i.e. careless) with my brush strokes is my current innovation.

Thanks; blue and pale yellow or cream go so well together. Enjoy your frosty weather.

Thanks. As I mentioned to another commenter, light blue and pale creamy yellow go well together especially as hazy light and hazy shadows.
