I see why people ship this but honestly the ship leaves a bad taste in my mouth, Discord is way too old compared to Flutershy, but really, the most important thing is that imo, their relationship is much more strong as good friends, it honestly makes scenes between them cuter, they're hanging out because they like being with each other, not because they're romantic to each other and have the responsibility of having to do it. I agree, they're better off as friends. And if somepony else was assigned by Celestia to reform Discord, like Rarity or
Pinkie, no doubt they would probably be shipped with Discord instead. But I don't ship Discord with anyone, he's better
off single in my book.Β

I agree. I am sick of people preaching about platonic relationships are important as romantic relationships and yet try insert unnecessary romance in already platonic relationships. Fluttershy and Discord are just good friends, nothing more. It's fine if people wanna ship Fluttercord but holy heck the shippers can be freaking obnoxious by trying to shove so called evidence that their relationship is romantic.

I don't care about the mortal immortal thing because I myself ship those kinds of things. However to me just don't see Fluttercord ever being the romantic type. Discord honestly acts more like a really overprotective brother to Fluttershy. Their friendship is adorable. No need for unnecessary romance to ruin it.

Discord only looks old because he has a goat face, but others wouldn't have any problem with it if it was a more younger looking immortal guy with the girl (I respect your opinion and all but the reason "he's too old" just screams double standard to me TBH since he's well, immortal.)
