Why Everyone Hates Him: He’s the generic monster anime protagonist
Why I Like Him: Dan incorporates the best aspects of Ash Ketchum from Pokémon and Tai from Digimon, I don’t necessarily think he’s better than Ash, but I do like how he seems to have a perfect balance of mature and silly. I’m glad that he’s always the focus of the Bakugan series
Why Everyone Hates Him: He’s an obnoxious Gary Stu in a series that just won’t die
Why I Like Him: I don’t think Littlefoot is a Stu at all, he’s just a typical nice smart kid. As for the series issue, I grew up on LBT, so I can’t really speak for all those people, but that’s just me

Why I Like Him: I used to be really big on Kimba, but in addition to rabid fans and taking off my nostalgia goggles, I can’t really say I’m the biggest fan of the original series anymore... The series that followed are much better in my opinion. Bubu was an absolute joke in the original show, always getting his ass kicked by Kimba, who is still a cub, btw, but in the 89 reboot, he comes across as very threatening and serious, I can see why people think Scar ripped him off. They’re wrong, but still. I also really like his English Dub voice, I think it fits his character perfectly. I haven’t seen much of the 89 series, but Bubu is certainly one of the selling points.
Why Everyone Hates Her: SHEZ GOT WINGZ AND IS A CASHGRAB!
Why I Like Her: She’s still the same adorkable Pony we knew back when the show first came out, she just has a few new accessories. Hell, when she first got her wings, they proved to be a big hassle for her, but they symbolized a growth in her character, which, like I said before, is still the same prior to the change, I don’t know why people abandoned the show after that point, it seems really childish if you ask me
Why Everyone Hates Him: He tarnished Godzilla’s legacy and made him an absolute joke
Why I Like Him: I used to be part of the Godzilla 98 hate bandwagon, and though I haven’t seen it in a while, I do remember being decently entertained by it, much more than I can say for Godzilla 2014... Back to Zilla though, even though he’s not Godzilla by any stretch of the imagination, I still like his design and origin. It’s cliché, but I think that excuses the fact that he runs a whole bunch instead of actually fight, and you can’t deny that the sequel animated series made him awesome with Cyberzilla!
Why Everyone Hates Her: She was loud and annoying
Why I Like Her: I cant really say a whole lot about her, but I think she’s funny, Roseanne Barr fits her perfectly, and the animation done on her is pretty good.
Why Everyone Hates Her: She’s bland and annoying
Why I Like Her: I really like her design for starters, but I also like the arc she goes through during the movie, it fits her character, and makes sense within the context of the movie, it’s too bad we’ll probably never see her again, but as far as sequel kids go, she’s pretty nice

Why I Like Him: Like Bobsheaux Before me, I don’t really get all the hate for Mater, as far as comic reliefs go, there’s far worse, like so many of the characters in the Alpha and Omega Sequels(Looking at you, Brent...) Mater just acts like a big dumb puppy in comparison, and he values the simple things in life above all else, including his dents, just because he got them with his best friend, Lightning McQueen, I’m honestly glad Cars 2 is a thing because it paints Mater in a better light than I could ever explain
Why Everyone Hates Him: He’s annoying
Why I Like Him: I had a lot of options from the TLK universe, Kiara, Kion, Nuka, Simba, etc. but I chose to go with Bunga because unlike a lot of people, I find him really funny, his delivery is often on point, and his obliviousness is fun and charming in its own way, plus he’s just too stinking cute. Speaking of which... Bunga’s farts aren’t just a character quirk made to get little kids to laugh, Honey Badgers actually can do that in real life, mainly for smoking bees out of their hives, and Bunga has proven its use in the past like with the baboons and hares stuck in heavy rain.
Why Everyone Hates Her: She’s such a little kid
Why I Like Her: I could honestly put everyone from the Pokémon anime on this list because people think it’s hip and cool and totally a fact that the anime sucks. Ash was almost on here, but I had to go with Iris because she is too underrated. Yes, she always calls Ash out, but at least she doesn’t hit him over the head with a log or physically assault him *coughmistycough*, if you look past that, she’s just a really fun character, she’s brimming with personality, and she’s just adorable. Also, you can’t tell me that her ability to connect with Dragons isn’t awesome, I know I wish I had that ability. Apart from all that, she’s the champion of Unova in the games! Who’s the little kid now?

I agree about Mater and Maggie. Those two characters deserve a lot better than what they get. But let me assure you not everyone hates them, even if it seems like that sometimes. Maggie may be brash and loud, but she is trying to do the right thing for the farm, even if it seems impossible, she never steps down. Plus she is a big kid at heart and is three sizes. Mater is one of the best things about Radiator Springs, and I think he needed to have his place in the spotlight.
I also agree with Bunga and Twilight.
