Description An autostereogram of Mr. Saturn. People over at Starmen seemed to enjoy it, so I thought I might submit it here...

The depth map will be in my scraps soon.

The texture is from Bryce's DTE, and was called Psy Craters, which I thought was appropriate.

it has legs... two round pieces, stuff sticking out of it and an ant next to it...

Hi, this is a nice piece of work, great texturing!

Also I'm glad to see that you could use my program regardless of language limitations. I might someday translate it to english.

Thank you!

I really appreciate your program- it makes it much more fun to make stereograms.

It actually looks like a mini Mr. Saturn within the larger one. ... now my eyes hurt. XD I love these things.

I'm never able to read after looking at these- my eyes no longer focus!

Thanks for the favorite, too.

Awesome! My best friend's dad didn't believe in stereograms... he thought it was kind of like the Emperor's new clothes... a bunch of people conning each other into staring far too deeply into psychedelic nonsense. It always cracked me up.

It'd be a bit strange not being able to see these things- I imagine I'd feel much the same! But I don't suppose he ever tried one...

Wow, that's awesome. I was extremely big on doing stereograms back in the day. My absolute favorite type is actually a REVERSE stereogram -- if done right, it actually makes the picture pop OUTWARDS rather than going 'in'. Doubt any software replicates that tho'... but you have to be able to 'look' at it backwards too, and not a whole lot of people can do that apparently(or at least the few I let look at that book).

Looks great tho'. Makes me wish I had that one..

It depends how you look at it. If you cross your eyes, it will pop away from you, and that looks a bit odd on this one. If you diverge your eyes (by staring 'through' the screen- or maybe into a reflection), it should pop toward you.

I could easily make a reverse- it's just based on the depth map I rendered from Bryce. Invert the image via Photoshop, feed it back into the program, and boom!

OMG it works!
How did you make the stereogram? Is there a program that does it, or what?

There is a program that does it- it's called StereoMaker [link]

Unfortunately, it's for Windows only. It's also in Spanish, but the controls are easy enough that even I was able to use it with no trouble.
