Description I always wanted to try out the Team Fortress 2 render style, so today I did!
This is more a proof of concept than anything, because pretty much all of the passes were derived from a flat color pass, a shaded color pass, and a shaded grey pass.

Do you use Maya for these models? If you are, I'm having a crap of a time trying to figure some of the tools out for my class. Not even the book helps. >,<

This looks awesome. I love the fact that it's on legs. = D

Maya? Aargh, no.
I remember wasting two months of my life trying to learn Maya. I learned some valuble things here and there, but it's all so technical, it didn't feel natural or fun at all. And at the end, I wasn't much farther than where I started, in terms of actually making things.
I mean, some artists do amazing things with it, but they're not me. XD Good luck!

Thanks! In Rayman 2, you get to ride these things. It's crazy.

I know, it sucks. I was having fun with it before the teacher made us pull out points and all that unhappiness. He ran out of time trying to explain something to the class so he never got very far with helping us model our items we brought in. Then he said we had two weeks to model it and I spent 3 hours the other day pulling my hair out trying to model a friggin watch. >_< All the cuts and splits and polygons.

Plz give me ur modeling skillz. I feel like I'm epically failing my 3D modeling/ animation class.

Anyway, awesome as usual.

Hah, you probably don't want my modeling skills! My models are so hacked together with bad geometry and stuff, if you tried to animate them, everything would go everywhere!
You'll do fine. Modeling's a lot like perspective drawing. It may be a major pain for a lot of the time (or maybe you like it?), but as long as you follow the rules, you'll do fine.

And thanks!

You're alive! Well, actually, I already knew that. XP

Anyway, dude, way to knock 3D right outta the park. This looks strangely familiar, in a sense. It's almost as if this mobile pencil could walk out of the composition and step right into reality. Outstanding work on the lighting as usual, and just in general as well.

Seriously Lito, terrific. And nice talking with you.
