Description Overview:
You look out the small window from your cabin. The constant motion of the boat underneath your feet is sickening, and your heart leaps when you see the land. You've only heard stories about the Great City and it's massive walls. You've only dreamed about seeming the Mendaster yourself, gazing upon it's glory. You've only envisioned yourself standing on the Far-Bound mountains, looking out across the Summerglass Sea. Now, you realize, your dream can finally become a reality. Mendaster is only a dock away. You slowly get up from the window and make your way to the top of the ship. There it is: Mendaster's great protective wall. You step off of the boat and onto the docks. The moment has come. You gently set your foot down onto Mendaster soil, and the joy tingles through your toes. You are finally free...
Mendaster is a large piece of land (around the size of Australia) surrounded by an even larger body of water. The land is split three ways by the river: Upper Mendaster refers to the north-east section near Asyltown and Brinok Bay. Lower Mendaster refers to the southern most section near the dump and Bridgemill. Middle Mendaster refers to the north-west section of the land, running the coast line from Ostley to the Great City. There are eight cities in Mendaster, and seven points of interest. Let's go deeper, shall we?

Cities:
❂The Great City-Pop.: 107,120 | Economy: Tourists, shops, government | Ave. yearly Earnings: ⧻70,000 Flents
The Great City is the oldest and largest city in Mendaster. It is the prime receiver of all the products made in the neighboring towns and cities. It is home to the best shops, restaurants, movie theaters, libraries, clothing stores, concert halls, and everything else imaginable under the sun! The Great City's name might not be the most glamorous, but it definitely describes the city. The city's massive buildings are just one amazing thing to gawk at. The architecture in The City is the most advanced, beautiful and ornate out of all of Mendaster. The streets are crowded with skyscrapers and apartments. The further into the city you get, the richer and higher class it becomes. The further out, the poorer and more run-down it becomes. The Great City is a tourist trap. People come from everywhere just to catch a glance at the Great Wall. The wall has been standing over The City for centuries, it's purpose long ago forgotten. It provides extra protection from storms that blow in from the sea, and provides a good defense position if it's ever needed. The Wall is massive, stretching for miles, carved from marble stone with embedded copper plating. The authorities are trained at the wall, for the interior of the wall is many rooms. The public can walk around the wall, but most of the rooms are closed. There are four main doors through the wall, and one single huge door that leads into the heart of the city. It is also home to the politicians. Mendaster's council is located in the City, the main seats of power are in the Great City. Those who live there are generally striving for a grand life in the stars, either looking to be famous, brilliant or in general great. It is said that the Great City is the foster parent to all dreams. Though, the city can't promise them to all become true. The Great City truly deserves it's name.

❂Wellhall-Pop.: 45,793 | Economy: Discoveries, science, engineering | Ave. yearling Earnings: ⧻150,000 Flents
Wellhall is also very old, it's roots date back to around the same time that The Great City was founded. It is home to the nation's universities for higher education. It is a very poised and proper town, and very expensive to live in. Generally, only scientists and other 'ists' live there. It is also home to the largest library in all of Mendaster. Knowledge is gold in Wellhall. Those who live there are generally very smart, and rich because of their education.

❂Bridgemill-Pop.: 16,890 | Economy: Dump, garbage collection | Ave. yearly Earnings: ⧻40,000 Flents
Bridgemill is the slums of Mendaster. It's a very poor section of town, built out in the swampy marshes of the southern section of the nation. It's main income is through the dump business, the other towns pay them to collect and keep their garbage. People who live there generally are too poor to afford anywhere else, or they were convicted criminals released, but exiled. It's a hard life out in Bridgemill, but people manage.

❂Goldmere-Pop.: 34,678 | Economy: Mendaster protection | Ave. yearly Earnings: ⧻50,000 Flents
Goldmere is home to the actual Mendaster orb. It is kept deep within the capital building, hidden and protected heavily. The orb's power is harnessed and distributed to the nearby cities. The linking process is still present, even though the Mendaster isn't out in the open. You can visit the temple where the Mendaster is kept and you can view a small chunk of the star. Guards and authorities are payed by the Great City's council to guard the orb. The main income is tourism, but in reality the city doesn't make much. Those who live there are humble and quiet, not looking for a big dream. Many older, retired people move there to have a peaceful life.

❂Willowbank-Pop.: 160,218 | Economy: Factories, productions | Ave. yearly Earnings: ⧻60,000 Flents
Willowbank is home to the nation's productions. Electricity, factories, and manufacturers are all based out of Willowbank. The power plant is located there, the Mendaster's energy is transferred into usable energy. The earnings are pretty decent, but the living conditions aren't. The sky is clouded with steam and smoke from all of the factories, and the vegetation is almost all uprooted to create more space for buildings. But, Willowbank is big part of Mendaster, without it, the other cities and towns would not have power or products to sell. Generally, those who live in Willowbank are hard-working individuals who didn't take higher education classes. It's very common to work in a factory in Willowbank, many people live elsewhere and commute into the city each day. Willowbank is a key city, without it, the rest of Mendaster would fall.

❂Brinok Bay-Pop.: 69,370 | Economy: Fishing, exporting/importing | Ave. yearly Earnings: ⧻55,000 Flents
Brinok Bay is a small city with small buildings, build right up against the coast. It is home to the largest fishing industry in Mendaster and the largest exporting/importing system. The bay is where most ships dock if they are carrying supplies to the nation. It's a very stormy place, rain is frequent, and without a wall to protect them, the town is constantly battered with storms. Winter is bitter and poor in the Bay, but summer is prime time. Generally, those living there want a quiet, routine life. Almost anyone can work the docks no matter what education level, so those who are richer than Bridgemill but poorer than Willowbank live and work in Brinok Bay.

❂Asyltown-Pop.: 124,521 | Economy: mining, building | Ave. yearly Earnings: ⧻64,000 Flents
Asyltown is known for it's abundance of metals located in the near mountains and hills. Asyltown is a mining town. Everything is taken from the earth there, everything from copper to coal to salt. Many people who visit Asyltown say it looks as if a giant creature had come in and scraped a layer off of the earth. It's very bare and grim out in Asyltown, and because it's so far out, the authorities are not as prevalent there. Crime rates are higher, and overall it's a run-down place. Mining and building however makes good money, so again, many people take the long commute into the city.

❂Ostley-Pop.: 85,012 | Economy: Agriculture, livestock, farming | Ave. yearly Earnings: ⧻50,000 Flents
Ostley is located out in the country, perfect for farming and raising livestock. The city itself is quaint and small, home to a few locally owned shops. The western culture from the Great City is slowly making its way over the mountains to Ostley and many new modern ideas are arriving in the town. It's a beautiful place to live, it's relatively peaceful, and far enough inland that storms can't reach it. A series of rivers runs through the hills, creating a lush, green valley. It is also home to the Oldwood Forest, a deep mysterious forest that holds many mysteries and secrets. People and animals have disappeared in its tangle of greenery. Not even birds flying over can see the ground through the mass of tree branches that cloud the top. Ostley is a very important city to Mendaster. Without it, the main food source of produce wouldn't exist, and many people would be starving. Ostley is often made fun of for being uneducated, but in reality, they are some of the smartest people around. They know what season to plant the seeds, and what moon phase each is ready to be picked. They may not be book-smart, but they know how to take care of themselves and live together peacefully.

Places of Interest: (The colors of the bullets correspond to the places on the map with the same color)

3 Point Bridge- The bridge is located where the river splits three ways. It is a huge free-standing bridge created long ago by the Great City's best architects and engineers. It spans 1 mile across the massive Faye river. The bridge is a busy place, it's the only main way to cross the river without taking a train or a barge.

Faye River Tunnels- A series of underground tunnels for the trains. It goes under the Faye River, through the mountains into Ostley, and underground into the City. They are very sturdy, reliable tunnels that maintain constant maintenance. Some workers who work in Asyltown rely on the tunnels for their income, the maintenance of the tunnels is a well-payed job.

Docks- When referring to 'the docks', most people mean the docks by the Great City. There are docks out by the Bay, but they aren't referred to as 'the docks'. The main docks out by the city can port huge ships, perfect for bringing in people. Fishing isn't big here, that's only in the Bay. But, travelers and tourists alike come to the docks to look at the ocean or hand out at the beach.

Oldwood Forest- The Oldwood Forest is just that - a forest of old wood. The trees are huge and ancient, keepers of secrets and mysteries. Not much is known about the forest, for many scientists time and time again have disappeared while studying it's greenery. Many people who live in Ostley believe that the forest has a mind of it's own, somehow it's brainpower fueled by the Mendaster's strange energy. Many legends dating back to centuries ago speak of the forest and the dangers it presented. There is a road through the forest, and it is possible to make it through, though there is always a chance of not making it out.

Ryanch Lighthouse- Named after a famous Mendaster explorer, Sr. Ryanch Delth, it is a very large tower with a light on the top. Five people are chosen to maintain and live at the lighthouse. The cliffs surrounding the lighthouse are very steep and dangerous. The view from the lighthouse is said to be incredible though, some say with a good pair of eyes, you can even see the lands beyond.

Whiteholt Falls- The falls start at the top of the cliffs and continues all of the way down until it hits the ocean in a mass of white bubbles. An unfortunate few have fallen into the falls never to return. The falls may be beautiful and clear from the snow-melt, but they prove to be very dangerous and fast-moving.

Summerglass Sea- The Summerglass Sea wraps around the whole nation. The rivers from inland flow into the sea. The Summerglass Sea is named after the glassy clamness that was observed from the top of the Far-Bound mountains when it was first discovered centuries ago. Though the sea can cause some pretty rough storms, on sunny calm days, it's surface reflects the world around it like glittering glass.
