I tried to photograph a spiders web once...I couldnt see it though once it had been developed, I guess the light bleached it out lol. Any advice for a newbie to take close ups of detailed items like that?

Hmmmmm well I had to change the color balance a little and I had to use macro mode.... maybe that will help...

Urm, I think I have a macro mode on my camera, its not a fancy one, just 200 quid. I will try it, we should have some cobwebs in the garden lol. Another question, I notice under your photos it says Camera Type, Shutter speed, and all that detailed info. How do you get that up/edit it? I haven't seen that on the page once I've uploaded some pics. x

Hmmmmm well I don't do that, it does it for you, but not all the time. So of mine have it and some of mine don't, I really wish I did know how to control that.
Oh and I remembered, I don't know if your camera's like mine but its a LOT easier to focus on the spider web if there's something on it (in my case water drops).

I wonder how it knows lol? Unless you plug in your camera cradle and it recognises the software. I will have to read the FAQ, I would like people to know if I've taken then on camera phone, disposable or proper digital camera so then I have an excuse for the poor quality hehe. x
We get a lot of rain here so hopefully that works for me, the cobwebs we have don't look as big as yours, but there is a churchyard nearby, maybe that will have some pretty detailed and larger webs
