"In Greek mythology, Phaëtōn or Phaethōn (pronounced /ˈfeɪətn/ or /ˈfeɪəθən/) (Greek: Φαέθων "shining") was the son of Helios (Phoebus)... Phaeton seeks assurance that his mother, Clymene, is telling the truth that his father is the sun god Helios. When Phaeton obtains his father's promise to drive the sun chariot as proof, he fails to control it and the Earth is in danger of burning up when Phaeton is killed by a thunderbolt from Zeus to prevent further disaster." Imho this one looks better than the other, because it's very different from your usual work and thus original. I wouldn't have been able to tell it was with FF's tutorial that you made this!

It does, actually. I like it much better too. I'm not fond of pink and the misty feeling so much, preferring clean and clear shapes, but my daughter liked it, so I decided to post it

I don't like pink either, but in that fractal it looked good! Clear shapes fit some fractals better, as misty ones fit others.
P. S.: and your daughter has a good eye for fractals

Well, she may have a good eye for fractals, but she can't implement what she sees with her mind's eye. So, her fractals are pretty basic, although I'm trying to teach her what I can do myself. You can see some of hers here: [link]

Ah then I know something about her. I commented her Persian Carpet as well. I took a look at her gallery and now I can see why you say her fractals are basic... well, maybe she's just too into practical things to appreciate the beauty of abstract fractals. Decisely shaped fractals are just as good, though!

I think it's rather laziness. When I try to teach her how to tweak and add effects, she says it's too complicated and she's too lazy to stretch her mind. Or maybe I'm just a bad teacher

Ahahah, maybe she's not very interested in fractals...
I think you'd make a good teacher, why not? No basis to state that, but you give that kind of impression.
Btw, hopes are never completely lost. Maybe your daughter will start working on more complicated fractals on her own one day.
