Description

Many of you may know Grigori as my World of Reos Vayron, but before he was rocking the Vayron look he was one of my most precious Original Characters ever. I've always struggled with drawing him myself, and I knew I'd never quite be able to describe him right to anyone else, so he never had any art. But today I sat down and told myself that I would give it my all, and that even if I got frustrated I'd keep going, and I'm so happy with the result! It may not be clean, or dynamic, or the highest quality, but it puts Grigori down onto paper(lel) so to speak and I am over the moon about that.

About:

Grigori is a construct dragon hailing from the world of Calderra, a violent but magical place to live. He's ancient, no one exactly knows how old he could be, including himself. He survived for generations due to his reclusive lifestyle high in the Arcadian mountains, avoiding humans and other creatures, and only interacting with other drakes when he was forced to. Most tended to avoid him, he was far larger than most dragons, and his unique constructed core frightened those that did not know what it was.

He was not born from an egg like other dragons, but instead constructed from a powerful core by a deranged mage. The practice has long been outlawed in most countries on Calderra, but there are always those who will practice regardless. The spell backfired horribly however, and the mage was incinerated as Grigori drew his first breath. Due to his magical origins, there are certain features that set him apart from other Drakes on Calderra, though he keeps them well hidden.

His life of solitude did not last forever, however, as he found a small child lost and starving in the mountains and took her in. He felt a connection to the pathetic thing, and couldn't bare to see her suffer and die when he could step in and help. He raised her in the mountains, and it quickly became apparent she was no mere child. Under his tutelage and protection, the child grew into a woman, who became one of the -if not the- most powerful and respected mage on the 3 continents.

In respect to the core that gave him life, Grigori has an extremely large well of power at his disposal, should he determine it appropriate to use it. Like msot drakes, he can breathe fire and is immune to fire magic and damage. Unlike most drakes however, he is able to concentrate that fire into something much more potent, and his fire breath can become lazer-like and burn as hot as nuclear energy. It takes him a great amount of energy to do this, and he must lay low for quite some time after using thie ability. The only indication that he is about to vaporize a foe is the telltale glow his body pinions take on prior to releasing it.
