Β That's my embarrassed emote. Never had the word "brilliant" used to define my simple artwork that is still mostly from references and tutorials, almost feels more like "copies" to me, because I still am not at the point of being able to draw completely from my head with nothing in front of me! Tried today at a wedding reception...I suck!

That's my goal, really. My next couple of pieces will also be references from tutorial sites (which I will definitely mention and give props to the original artist because it's IMPORTANT!), but it IS for the reason of learning and getting to the point where I've memorized the steps, styles and features so much that I won't need them at some point. I'm also reading a book on drawing realistic faces and it's turning my initial world upside down as far as perception and approach goes. With realism, I'm learning that it's a world WITHOUT LINES, which for a guy like me, having been drawing cartoon/comic/manga, is totally foreign! I hope if you've had a chance to read the story I wrote for your Frozen Cave pic. I just sat down yesterday afternoon and cracked it out in a couple of hours (didn't even edit it :\ before submitting it, which I don't normally do, so we'll see!). I hope it does your great drawing justice!Β

He's a young wolf and the main character in my Call of Destiny story (see my gallery folders if you want to look at my characters). Β He's very loyal, and in the story his main struggle is to determine his destiny. Β He's in a side story called Roommates as well, where he's an anthro. Β His quirks are that he was born on April Fool's Day and is obsessed with lanterns (don't ask).
May sound a bit goofy, but the story was only created last year and is still developing, as opposed to a story (with Anakin as the main focus
