Description
I've had the urge to draw something cute and buggy for a while. I had actually started with the mindset to make her a spider. As I got going she decided she wanted to be a bee, so I just went with it. She kind of reminds me of a Hindu idol like Shiva or Vishnu, expecially with the little lotus flower (although that happened purely by accident.)Related content

Insects do get a bad rep, but you've managed to portray your creation in a good way. I like what you had done with her wings and the stripes on her abdomen.

Oh me too! I have the biggest phobea of bees, I run screeming like a little girl if one comes within 3 feet of me. I don't mind drawing them though, they're cute little bugs when you're looking at pictures or drawings and not looking one square in the face as it flies to sting you....

I know, I'm the same way, the funny thing is I know I can't outrun a bee... but that doesn't mean I don't try.
It's how I prove I've still got that 10% girl in me and that I'm not all tomboy! LOL!

Hey, this is great! It'd be an excellent children's book illustration! Hehe, ah well, anyway..
I really like the pattern you put on her abdomen, it's different and adds to her personality instead of just looking like it was put there because it was mandatory to do so, if that makes any sense. I feel the same way about the patterns on her wings. The colours are beautiful, but I wonder what the backround would've looked like had you put in a subtle gradient starting with a darker blue at the bottem to a light blue t'words the top. I think it would help frame the subject a little bit better and just overall look spiffy. X3 Well, that's all I got; excellent peice! :3
