June-La checked the cots, making sure her newborn twins were sleeping soundly. The two girls looked so adorable curled up together. She paused and looked over that the second bed. Her oldest son, Junior was also asleep, his little white ears twitching slightly as he dreamed. June-La whispered softly."Ness?"
The blue hologram echidna materialized before the Warrant Officer.
"Yes, Ma'am?" the hologram asked.
"The kids are down for the night," June-La said. "They should sleep through, but if the girls do wake, I have milk in the fridge for them."
"And Junior?" Ness asked.
June-La walked over to her dresser and began to apply her make-up.
"Junior's a sound sleeper. He won't wake until morning."
June-La finished putting on her lipstick and turned, smiling at Ness.
"How do I look?"
"Very beautiful, Ma'am," Ness replied. "Sir will love it."
June-La giggled. She checked her babies one last time, making sure they were alright before leaving them in Ness' care. She had a date, and was looking forward to the quality time with her husband...
