"Hey, Snap. Hey!"
Snap looked up when he heard the voice call out, spotting the lime-green tigerdillo as he ran up.
"Hi there, Sven," Snap said. "I was wondering when you were going to show up."
Sven chuckled and rubbed the back of his head nervously.
"Yeah, sorry about that," the tigerdillo replied. "I kinda got caught up and lost track of the time."
Sven looked about, taking in the serene sight of the golf course.
"So, do you still want to play?"
Snap nodded, the thylacine holding up his golf club.
"Great!" Sven exclaimed. "I get to go first then."
Excitedly the tigerdillo drew in a deep breath, focusing, and then jumped. Almost immediately his size began to change, shrinking down, and he curled up tightly. Snap reached out his hand, catching his now golf-ball sized playing partner. Muffled sounds came from withing the tigerdillo sphere, and Snap smiled. He had only known Sven for a week or so, but still found himself amazed at Sven's seemingly endless need for fun. Carefully the thylacine set Sven down upon his golf tee and took up a ready stance.
"Get ready now, Sven," Snap said. "I'm swinging in three... Two... One... FORE!"
The golf club came rushing down, connecting squarely with the tigerdillo ball, sending Sven rocketing down the fairway. Snap watched. The black and lime-green sphere bounced once, twice, and then rolled, coming to a stop in the center of the fairway. Snap chuckled. He could easily make par from there. The thylacine gathered up his clubs and set off down to join up with Sven for his next shot. This was certainly going to be an interesting day...
