Description
The gentle rain that had fallen all day started to ease up. Slowly the black clouds parted and a few rays of sunlight shone through. Inside the cafe, Gold the Hedgehog sat and watched as a rainbow crept across the sky. They were magical things. No matter how close they looked, they always seemed out of reach.Gold began to daydream. She could see herself chasing the rainbow and catching it. The colours sparkled as her hands ran across it. She started to climb, and found that she was able to walk as if on the ground. It was an amazing feeling. The rainbow was solid under her, but at the same time, she was floating in the air. She soon reached the peak. It poked through the tops of the clouds, and Gold could see for miles. Something caught her eye. At the rainbow's other end, something glittered. Sitting down, Gold slid down the other side as though it were a giant slide. She landed in a large pot full of coins. The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!
"Gold?"
A voice pulled her from her dream.
"Gold? Are you OK?"
She looked across. It was Charmy Bee, her boyfriend. She smiled at him.
"Yeah, I'm OK." She said. "Just daydreaming about rainbows and pots of gold."
Charmy smiled.
"Well you're the only Gold I need." He said.
Gold groaned at his corny comment, and gave him a kiss.
Outside, the clouds closed in again, and the rainbow faded as it began to rain. But it didn't matter. Soon the rain will stop, and once more rainbows will fill the sky.
