Sarge paced back and forth. The steel-blue fox had a look of intensity about him. He glanced over at the two armored soldiers who stood, waiting for orders. Together, the trio were the first of Deraj's new Psy Corps, an elite unit of troopers who had shown a high degree of psychic abilities. Sarge was a telekinetic, Pyro, the orange fox, was a pyrokinetic, and Rotciv, a tan cat, was a cryokinetic. To emphasize their new elite status, Deraj had provided them with high tech armor, and special guns that would condense and convert their raw psychic energy into powerful weapons. Sarge looked away from his troopers, and back out over the battlefield. In the distance he could see Gicandice, Deraj's giant daughter, reeking havoc amongst the enemy.
"My daughter has the left flank under control, Sergent."
The voice of Deraj echoed in Sarge's mind, and the fox shivered slightly. He had always found it a bit humbling when the Grand Leader communicated like this.
"What do you need of me, Sir?" Sarge said under his breath, activating the tiny communicator that rested against his throat.
"I need you and your troops to reinforce the the center line."
Sarge nodded to himself.
"Understood, Sir. Sarge out."
His helmet rose from the ground as Sarge used his telekinetic powers, and slipped it on his head.
"Pyro! Rotciv!"
The two soldiers snapped to attention as Sarge spoke.
"We have work to do."
The Psy Corps marched into battle, eager to carry out the Grand Leader's orders.
"Let's show the enemy just what the Psy Corps can do..."
