Description
A character whose design I based loosely off one of my favorite monster myths. He eats people D: but despite that can be a very friendly guy.I hope he looks okay. I'm kinda nervous about the anatomy

Edit: okay... tried fixing a couple things, including the too short legs. Some people have asked which monster he was inspired by too. It's an African ogre called the Sasabonsam. some of the elements I left out, like the second pair of feet and the long hair, but the original is indeed red and unnaturally tall. He sits up in trees and snatches up victims as they go by, then sucks up all their blood. Apparently you could tell which tree he was in because the ground it stood on would be soaked in red. cool, huh?

hummm the proportions are strange... I don't believe them to me the technique and the character I like a lot but they are too unnatural... very stiff... I hope the criticizes doesn't bother you

The anatomy is certainly not of realistic human proportions, but that just keeps the whole fantastical idea, yehyeh? It's stunning (good way) and looks like a real creature, just not human. ^^

The part where neck meets the shoulders looks a little deformed but other then that it's really good.

this is great... LOL... actually have you ever tried using complimentary colors as under-painting? Adds a sweet effect. The head is awesome, body looks a little less dimensional, however I have no CG skills, so I should prob. shut up.

That's a really original choice of clothes, in my opinion. I bet no one has looked as frigtening while wearing such a silly hat and beed around their ankles, haha.

Those brush strokes on the skin make this feel like an intricate wax carving. It works very nicely.

advanced crit, eh? well, I don't have a problem with anatomy distortion, unless it's not unified. If anything, I feel like the arms should be the same length (because there's nothing strikingly different about them) yet the arm on his leg seems way longer. but, according to a character design class I took, making anatomy asymmetrical like that really freaks people out... and if he's a monster, perhaps that's exactly the decision you wanted to make.

I'd say the legs are slighty short in comparison to the upper body, but I love it nonetheless

I can see where you are nervous, his torso looks a little long, and the arms, but I think that might be somewhat conscious because of his face, and somewhat insane appearance, the long limbs and torso really make him look quite charming. It corresponds with his large ears.

I love how he's just sitting there all casually, leaning back in his chair... SIPPING BLOOD.
I think the anatomy looks fine. His torso seems really long to me, but the way you drew his legs and arms in that very gangly, sinewy style, you can tell he's a tall, skinny character.
It's really cool, though. The colors are great.
