About Full-View and Print
I realize in full view there is some pixelation (a few green areas at the top in the background and such) and also the ring around one of the planets goes into the planet (because I shifted the planet and forgot to shift it's ring). If you are considering buying a print, you do NOT need to worry about either of these. I fixed both problems, just haven't taken the time to resize and upload that image as the deviation.

Well... for the new year I decided I'd go for something crazy that I've never attempted before and this is what I came up with.
Composed of 14 different fractals, this piece represents the galaxy we are living in today.
Obviously I can't hand you all 9 of these planets to scale, but it is sort of a nice representation showing which planets are smaller than others.
The fractal in the bottom left corner is a black hole... the background is all composed of a single fractal.
Originally I had 21 fractals to go in this... I had something like 6 stars and a couple variations on planets but I chose the best that fit, in my opinion - However I do plan on uploaded some of the stars that did not get used in this piece.

that is great! I'm not usually a big fractat browser.. but this is great!
pluto is no longer a planet

Thanks! Its nice to hear that an unfrequent fractal browser even finds some interest in an almost completely fractal piece
about pluto, I know!! I'll just pretend that the pluto in this piece is that other tenth planet or whatever it is...

there is one named Eris that is bigger than pluto but that isnt a planet either it is what caused the debate about what a planet is.. it too is a dwarf planet along with one, Ceres, between mars and Jupiter in the asteroid belt..
so how do i know all this... well there is an artical in this months National Geographic (american) about it all and i happened to be reading it 10min be4 i saw this pic
that aside this IS a great piece

this is a very great idea and very creative...yeah, planets are fractal....one thing though...maybe pluto should have been smaller....anyways awesome job!

very creative and great colors too.. spectacular work. well worth all your effort.. must be quite hard organizing all those flames in such a nice composition.

This is truly a heavenly flame composition! Seriously, this has to be one of the most original concepts and wonderful realizations of the concept, I have ever seen! Simply outstanding Flamework!

That is really nice. The colors clash in a few areas - not really anything major, but it seems like it could use a more defined color scheme - but overall, just really clean and sexy. Have you thought about doing a diagramatic human figure with chakras picked out by the fractals? I think you could rock that really well.

Thank you for the wonderful comment and critique, I definitely see where you're coming from about the colors.
Haven't thought about a human figure, that might be an interesting idea. I also haven't been able to come up with many interesting/original ideas for fractal collages since I made this piece either though.
Thanks again

No problem at all If I may suggest, try checking out religious imagery and diagrams, particularly chakra diagrams, cosmological explanations and work of artists like Alex Grey. Digging into that can unearth a whole world of inspiration, most beautifully in that none of it is really "original", per se - it's a response to the undercurrents of natural/divine life. And hey, when it comes down to it, that's what fractals are.
Great work, keep it rocking.
