I have completely redrawn the Red Desert Map! So, as a result there are some changes that were made that I will make mention of. There have been many changes to names of places and some additions. The Rot lands are now known as the Bermuda Barrens, Trades Port now is known as Killmoore Ridge, the Airship Islands is called The Graves, Bandit Islands was renamed Rigeter Islands, Dhamdurh is now Spolkston, The Dead Lands is now Steel Barrens, Eestiningog was rewritten as Eestingog instead, and Coal Island is now the Coal Maws. I also added Government bases as well, these are known as Ministry bases. Now, here is the rest of the Red Desert’s info from the old info sheet, I have also rewritten some things from the previous Info sheet to match accurately to the current map and concept. So, if you care to know, take a read to see the changes. Just note that majority is very similar but other parts are completely different!

General Geographical and Other Information:
Majority of the land coverage outside the Red Desert, Grey Sand States and the Industrial Sector isnt brought up in the story however as that land is considered part of a different desert Empire or Country, the three regions are States considered part of Viador. Now, if one wants an idea as to roughly where the Red Desert would be located in comparison to the modern day world map, The Bermuda Barrens and in particular Bermuda Point was the center of the Bermuda Triangle at the bottom of the Ocean. Meaning that to the far Northwest would roughly have been where the state of Florida in the United States was. Now, you might be wondering how there are 21st century city remnants when before this was all ocean. Well, after the events of the Collide Disaster in 2025 and the ocean began to dry up rapidly, more land surfaced and cities and towns were actually built by those who survived the Disaster, and this was before the 22nd century even rolled around. So these city remnants are still considered part of the 21st century. And for a general idea of the amount of land on the Earth, 80% of the Earth is desert land while 20% remains of ocean cover. After the main events of the Collide Disaster that virtually ended the modern world; the ocean over time shrank from it's original 70% cover of the Earth that we roughly see now in current day. It took around 100 years for this drastic change to happen. Keep in mind that this wasteland world takes place in the year 2357 (332 years from the year of the Collide Disaster that occurred in 2025). Although the wasteland does not measure their years how we do now. So although it would technically be the year of 2357, the wasteland tracks its years based on the year of the Collide Disaster which is considered "Year Zero". So, to them the year based on this would be 332 ACD (After Collide Disaster)

Land and Geography- The Red Desert is the third desert state belonging to the Empire of Viador and is known for its distinct red sand; hence the desert's name, as well as its highlands and lowlands that are home to countless nomadic tribes, bandit groups, airship pirates and deadly creatures. The Red Desert is considered to be the harshest region due to extreme sand storms that sweep the land on a monthly basis, and are capable of causing mass destruction, as well as the extreme heat there that can reach temperatures of 130 degrees Fahrenheit. These extreme conditions are due to its location; being the farthest south and bordering the Oil Sea which experiences strange weather patterns often being the reason for the burning winds causing the sand storms. These storms are often called "Fire Storms" by those who live in The Red Desert. But despite the extremes, the people have grown accustomed to the heat and storms and have found ways to live comfortably among it.

Culture- The Red Desert is known for being diverse in culture and people. Cultures vary from the many different nomad tribes, pirates and bandits that call the desert home. People of The Red Desert are not always accepting of different cultures and beliefs despite the diversity among each other. However, the majority of pirate groups are less tolerant and often don't have any specific beliefs as many of the tribes do. The group with the most known beliefs and culture are the Children of The Deity. They are a nomadic tribe who worship Sand Deities; Massive worm-like creatures with human faces that roam the Red Desert and other areas and are capable of taking down whole airships easily. This group is not very peaceful and are known for killing those who do not follow their beliefs.

Wasteland Legends- There is only one legend that everyone in the wasteland knows about; The Widower. The Widower is a massive airship often thought to be a "ghost" ship, dozens of times larger than any airship ever made by far, it's a cargo ship originally from the 21st century. It appears to be quite damaged at the hull, being held together by hundreds of steel plates welded on. It has been said that the ship's crew are undead or soulless, they are known as “The Cursed”- the Cursed allegedly don’t always appear undead but they all share the same peculiar silver eyes. Some legitimately believe in it and it’s even a sensitive topic for some. Some people will even resort to killing another if they believe they are a “Cursed”.

It’s said that any ship that encounters it will never be seen again. It only appears in the Fire Storms and makes its presence known with a ground shaking blare of its ship horn before making its assault. Once the Fire Storm clears; the ship is gone, leaving no trace of itself and leaves next to no evidence of ships it destroys. It is also said to sometimes take a ship's crew hostage, then if the people are released they are not the same. The victims often appear to be seriously ill, vomiting a black substance and have a zombie-like expression. The illness is thought to be a sort of curse put on the person, others believe it’s a disease transmitted to them from the Cursed through scratches or bites or even weapon wounds made by a Cursed. But in the end, a legend is just a legend, right?

Red Desert’s Position In The Rebellion War- The Red Desert plays the largest role in the war against the government which to the wasteland is known as "The Ministry". It is where the well known Red Desert Rebellion came to be. The Rebellion consists of Bandits, Airship pirates, city and towns folks, tribes and mercenaries who are working in cooperation to fight the war. There are three bases in the Red Desert where the rebellion stations themselves. These bases are located north of Eestingog in the Red Highlands, west of Spolkston in the Steel Barrens, and southwest of Breakstown in the Westray Lowlands. These bases are very strict with who comes and goes, as the government is known for sending undercover spies into these areas. These bases are under the control of many cooperative leaders working together. Despite the rebellion consisting of bandits, pirates, and the common folk, they are very organized. They have countless fleets of armored airships equip with cannons, turrets, and other weapons, as well as land forces consisting of hundreds of armored makeshift vehicles and motorcycles also equipt with turrets, and machine guns. The land forces are mostly town/city folk, mercenaries, bandits and nomad tribes. Some of The Red Desert is under government control, however- these areas being the province of Kehgrrun, the Rigeter Islands, the town of Nhamgron and Khar Falt in the Red Highlands.

REGIONS:

Red Highlands- Known for its iron mines and one of the provinces with a Rebellion Base. It has the highest geographical position in the Red Desert.

Kehgrrun- Called the "Airship Province" for its well-known pilot school. It is also a big supplier of iron and steel. This Region is fully under control of the government.

Kilmmarnoc- Has a bad reputation for Bolt City, and it's crummy environment of scrap towns and junk.

Westray Lowlands- The biggest of all the regions, it is home to the capital city of Naporia and the southeast Rebellion Base as well as many small towns and cities. It has a very low geographical position as its name suggests.

Steel Barrens- A lot of steel is made here. There is also a Rebellion base located in this Region. The Steel Barrens is a frequently scouted and observed area by the Ministry.

Bermuda Barrens- These lands are dangerous and radiate strange cryptic energy from an unknown source; although most claims suggest it originates from the Bermuda Point. Extreme Fire Storms are common here as well as strange and unnatural ocean stone formations are a usual sight. Dozens of centuries old ships and plane wrecks can be found scattered around this Region, particularly around the Bermuda Point. The Bermuda Barrens was originally the center of the Bermuda Triangle before the Ocean dried up as its name hints. No one dares to travel here as really there is little reason too other than asking for death. To the south of it, the Oil Sea resides. Fire Storms that occur in the Bermuda Barrens often are severe enough that the ground itself sets ablaze from the oil that has seeped deep into the sand and muck over centuries, and the oily sea surface itself seems to glow in blazing flames as the water is so contaminated with oil it simply sets ablaze. Due to this the air in this region is heavy with fumes. The region however holds many historical wonders in its midst, although none dare to find them.

Keston- Home of Sloefell City- the city of snobby rich folk. Also the home of Murkage- the best place to have weapons and airships made in the Red Desert.

The Pale Wastes- The only region in the Red Desert to not have distinct red sand. It is home to Gearturn Point, or also known as "Biker's Town". If you want a motorcycle, that's where you'll get the best. It's also the only region that can get temperatures in the negatives and it does not experience Fire Storms. Other regions experience cold temperatures at night but not as cold as The Pale Wastes.

Rigeter Islands- These small islands are inhabited by many different group factions of bandits. These islands are under control of the Ministry in more recent time however, and are slowly stationing military force there, causing most of the Island’s bandit groups to flee to the mainland.

The Graves- This is like an Airship graveyard- old airships are brought here and left to rot. Hundreds of old 21st century cargo ship frames are also found here among the islands. Many go here to find scrap parts for their ships.

PortsMouth Island- One of the very few places with docking ports for ocean ships. They are the only place to have had any known trade with the far eastern militant island of Enslecaster. Enslecaster makes no contact with the mainland and communicate with no one. They consider themselves self sufficient and do not associate with the Rebellion or the Ministry. But, PortsMouth has been their rare exception for trade. Due to this, PortsMouth remains completely neutral in the war as they do not want war loyalties to effect their trade with Enslecaster.

The Coal Maws- This island is used solely for the purpose of mining coal for factories in the Industrial Sector as well as for airship fuel as few airships run off steam and need coal while others run on bunker fuel. The Coal Maws is a risky location though as the severe Firestorms from the Oil Sea occur here. The island is home to many mines that have been burning for decades due to the fire.

MAIN CITIES:

Naporia- Naporia, the capital city of The Red Desert, located in the Westrey Lowlands, known for the massive skyscraper structures buried in the sand, dating back to the 21st century when cities were being built after the ocean began to dry up and recede. Many of these collapsed skeletal structures have been modified to support floors for people to live in once again as well as ports for airships to dock have been constructed onto them. This is the most populated and developed city in The Red Desert.

Eestiningog- Eestiningog is known for being a main trading city and is also known for its abundance of nomadic tribes consisting of many humanoid like people. Taurusnians are common here, the “cow folk” of the wasteland, as they are shunned and hated in majority of the rest of the Red Desert. Despite being a place of good trade, it is advised that visitors don't stay for too long as bandit attacks and plundering from pirates are quite common.

Bolt City- Often nicknamed "Scrap City", Bolt City is constructed within the ruins of yet another 21st-century city. The city is by far the most makeshift city in the wasteland due to being inhabited mostly by bandits and pirates. It has the highest rate of airship traffic entering the city since it has countless airship docking zones. Bolt City is notorious for its crime, violence, and prostitution rates. However- despite its flaws, the city is said to have exceptional taverns and alcohol production.

Sloefell City- Commonly known as "The Engineer City", Sloefell is home to rich engineers, inventors, and blacksmiths. It is one of the only known cities to have a stable education system; the other city being Copermil City which is home to the finest Pilot school for becoming an airship pilot. However this education does not come for free, it is highly expensive and only the rich are able to attend this school. The residents of Sloefell are commonly referred to as "snobby" and "Entitled". Sloefell folk often look down on other cities and groups, especially bandits and pirates; they believe these groups are the lowest of status in society.

Copermil City- Copermil City, known as "The Flying Jewel" of the Red Desert for its Pilot School. Those who dream of becoming an airship pilot often attend this school, however, it is pricey. This city is often scoffed at by airship pirates mainly because they did not attend a school to pilot an airship and find it petty.

MINOR CITIES/TOWNS:

Nhamgron- A small trading town known for trading copper and brass. Is also abundant of mines for copper and Iron.

Spolkston- Spolkston’s reputation comes from its vast oil fields and diesel production where they supply whatever fuel they can get to the bigger cities. This town often gets plundered by pirates and bandit factions because of its fuel supplies. It is really just a working location- those who want to work will come here to get a job.

Knife Point- This small town is home to many wasteland pirates, it's not a place for the faint of heart. Murder and other unpleasant crime are common here, however, if you're a wasteland pirate, this place is as good as a home can get.

Diesel Town- As the name implies; this town is a main supplier of Diesel, and also is a big trade spot. But other than that it’s a boring place.

Khar Falt- Khar Falt is named after the Khar Falt nomad tribe. It's mostly just wooden and steel shacks and tents. This is a location caravans usually travel too when trading or needing a place to stay until they set off again. This is also the home to the Children of The Deity, the group that worships the Sand Deities.

Dune Ville- Dune Ville is built in the ruins of a 21st-century town that is partially buried in the sand dunes. They are a good place to go for livestock as they have an abundance of cattle and other livestock.

Killmoore Ridge- Killmoore Ridge is located by a water well, presumably the only water well in the Red Desert and is a common place for traders and other groups to get water. However, bandits are a particular issue when it comes to them taking too much water and threatening the townspeople.

Maghdhor- Often referred too as “The Cursed Town” or the “Town of Blight”; Maghdhor is believed to be home to wandering Cursed ill; the people captured by the Widower, given a strange disease and released. There are many folks living there with what appears to be that strange incurable illness. Whether or not these people are actually ill from the Cursed remains unknown really. It’s mostly an assumption made. The people themselves are rather quiet and many travellers note that when coming through Maghdhor, don’t expect much conversation with anyone. Most lock themselves in their homes while others aimlessly wander the streets as if in some sort of zombie like state. Most travellers avoid this town.

Scavenger's Point- An excuse of a town; Scavenger's Point is nothing but a bunch of rusted shacks. However- they have an airship repair port which can be handy if you're low on fuel or need repairs.

Gearturn Point- Often called "Bikers Town", this large town is known for its motorcycle mechanics who make and modify motorcycles to be fit for the wasteland as well as other vehicles if the need arises. This town is a big motorcycle supplier for the Red Desert Rebellion. Every person in this town owns a motorcycle. They also have some pretty nice taverns. CryderMann lived here for some time and is well known in this town. He brings his motorcycle here often.

Breakstown- Notorious for prostitution and heinous crime, this town has a bad reputation. But if you're looking to get the steel for an airship, building or vehicle; Breakstown is a great place to get it. There’s a lot of very skilled mechanics here. Scooter was born in Breakstown.

Murkage- This extremely small town is home to blacksmiths carpenters and tinkers; about 30 people live here. This is the town Lewis was born and raised in. The town is known for its master craftsmanship of weapons and airships despite its small size. If you are looking to build an airship or have the perfect sword crafted- Murkage is a good place to get that done.
