Description
Eltanin returns in this mostly step-by-step guide on my drawing process for standard Toa. This is my first serious drawing guide; usually I just draw different parts of the lineart of my drawings to differing levels of completion at different times.I wish to pass on my knowledge to others.

This is how I learned to draw Bionicles! I usually do a more 'humanized' style with the Toa Mata though, so this is more my style for Toa Metru.

I've been thinking about doing one of these for years. I always love seeing an artist's progression, and it's even better to see an updated Eltanin

I use extremely basic forms of this; Can confirm they're reliable techniques and steps to drawing stuff like this

One of those wooden pose dolls would be highly useful especially with their ball joints

I never used those (partly because all the ones i did get were shit), but yeah they work well as visual reference for proportions and poses and shit

Most excellent. Thank you for sharing this.
I shall make an attempt to draw some of my characters using this method.

Hopefully. I've genuinely struggled with drawing bonkles, so this'll help at least experiment with different methods.

Hell yeah, nice to see some more heavily metaled bonkles for a change.

I like your armor style: the detailed vents an creases give it a clear Bionicle look and texture without just straight up copying the pieces, and the organic bits underneath fit right in.

Yeah, the point is to be a definite visual divergence from the original without losing any of the concepts
I mix together a sort of Miramax/Set look with various other inspiration including Gundam and TF

I did always love the way the Toa looked in the Miramax movies... that vibe's definitely there.
