Description
This is an illustration of a Skyrim roleplay that I've been doing since April. I roleplay as Ancano over on Tumblr, and in this picture he's traveled to Dead Crone Rock with Remi, a Forsworn Briarheart who told him of the place. He plans to study the magical properties of the stone pillars there to determine if they would be of any value to the Dominion. They finally reached their destination and now Ancano is attempting to appear like an innocent scholar to Drascua. She’s not falling for it, and she understands that the Dominion intends to eventually take her artifacts. So he’s attempting to negotiate with her. Rémi is observing their conversation and wonders why they appear to be arguing.Drawn in Photoshop CS5. I used rock texture brushes to make the ground.

i love it when imperialists try to exert their influence over a very established indigenous culture, thinking that all "primitive" peoples and lands are beneath them, then get fucked by the powers at be that are so embedded in an area they hardly understand. for instance, how I think more than most people I am satisfied killing Thalmor as a werewolf. It's like, here are these overtly proud and belligerent soldiers, raised on the notion that they are destined to be above others, and this mysterious, foreign presence leaps over the walls of your embassy and rips out your entrails on the snow. It doesn't give a fuck about your racial hierarchy and meticulous diplomacy, it sees you as mere prey. you fill his belly just as well as any Nord does. That principle is so raw, how do they translate it in their casualty reports back home? They don't.
