Me using pokemon as an excuse to use filters in photoshop. Or using experimenting with filters as an excuse to draw pokemon. Take yer pick.Two pokemon who once belonged to Gan before he lost his original team through an unfortunate series of events.
Their friendship kind of built up and then fell apart...

Their story isn't even related to sexism actually... I guess I didn't really realize what it looked like from the pictures at the time I drew it, though I can see how it can be interpreted that way now.
It's actually because they were training for a Team Galactic related mission and had different ideals that became more prominent as they grew older and were forced to do more controversial things, and a slight misunderstanding where Eleanor (the Dusclops) suspected that something was being hidden from her threw it over the edge...
So yeah, it's really not what it looks like at all hahah

Well, not really. Not too much later Eleanor is essentially stolen by their trainer's evil dad, but is deceived into believing she was abandoned. And Basil is traded away to someone else... They're living fairly different lives now. Though it would certainly be interesting if they met again...

Yeah, Eleanor is a gal. And the kirlia wanted to be a gardevoir actually, but was forced to evolve by his trainer. I tend not to overdo how masculine or feminine I draw pokemon... The way I see it, it's silly to assume that they have the same gender standards as humans.
I mean, imagine if humans had the same gender standards as peacocks. We'd assume everyone was female unless they had a huge, colorful tail.
