Why the auto-reboot function? 

And why is it turned off?

Now of course, the (sad?) truth is, you may indeed get funding for a kick-starter project based on this, and you may propose it for inclusion at MoMA.

Just a question. 

Was this rendered on Windows? 

I doubt you can run 3D Max on anything else really...

This rendering is a bit older. I created it in 2009 on Win XP without any crash down But I remember, that Win 98 was crashing the whole time and so the idea was born.
The automatic reboot function is only ironic against MS. And another setting than "off" isn't necessary for Win98.
If you like, you can run 3dMax also under Mac, there excists a possibility, but I don't know how.

...eh, the "16 Min" setting on the auto-reboot will never be useful... there's no way the OS will run stable that long!
