Description
A simple restoration of 1945, M.S.L. AF0100. Well that's what it says on the blade anyway. A museum asked me to do a few restoration projects, but sadly I'm not allowed to take pictures of them. ;_; But they have been what have influenced my sword making. This one is just a restoration for a friend of sorts. He wanted a simple handle and for me to clean the blade up a little bit. So I made sure to leave as much of the coloring from the decades of rust, while stopping it and sealing everything the best I could.
Ironwood is the handle.
Anyway, next week I'll be back on track with some new and more custom stuff. I'll also be writing a journal soon with details of the current projects and all of that cool stuff. ^.^

Dude I almost have that exact same one made in Sheffield England. Made in 194(Something faded). A(F?)(rest is faded.)
It come with a green canvas sheath?
Aren't old army machetes great? The history, the solid construction, the small chance of it being used for something other then its intended use...

The coloration pattern from the weathering that you left on the blade looks very cool. Great looking blade.
