Description
This was a quick painting I completed as a commission for an EP cover for one of my favorite DJ's/Producers, Random Rab, for his release on the Desert Trax label. He recorded vocals at the center of the pyramid in Giza and the album features those recordings. In the EP he also used the Euclidian Rhythm Algorithms discovered by Godfried Toussaint in 2004. I created a Euclidean maze which you see on the bottom left of the painting being "spilt" by one of the "beings of light".

In the end, the label decided to go down with a more stripped down version of the image to keep the presentation more in line with the minimal vibe of the EP. I'm still proud of this one for the short amount of time I had to complete it and am excited to release the time lapse footage when it is approved.
