Description
This is the character designs I planned out of Medusa and Fenrir, who I previously introduced here: www.deviantart.com/logbot03/ar… .As I previously said, the player would fight Medusa on the bridge leading to the main gate of the city of Dite, after she hatches from a giant egg which stands in a nest on top of the gate’s bastions.
After apparently killing her, the player finally enters the city infested by harpies and lycanthropes, children of Circe, much like Medusa.
Once the player reaches the demoness palace they quickly discover that Medusa is in fact immortal as she hatches from another egg in gigantic round room with a large pool in the middle, but this time she isn’t alone, as from another egg comes out her twin: Fenrir.
Medusa’s moveset is the same in both fights, using range attacks shooting her golden feathers or launching poisonous pollen bombs using the flower on her wings, but she becomes vulnerable when making her dive attack or while spewing petrifying breath while near the ground.
Fenrir on the other hand has a very different moveset: he usually goes for an aggressive melee offense that relies on long and devastating combos that leave him exhausted and open for attacks once they’re finished, but he can also use the flower on his helmet to boost his weapon with poison damage.
Fenrir is also able to leap from one side of the pool to another, so it would be easier to get rid of him first before dealing with his twin.
Once you defeat Fenrir and Medusa is on low health, Circe will step out of the pool to interrupt the fight, apologizing for the misunderstanding of her children and giving the player a few quests to help him advance to the next area.
By completing these missions the player will receive some rewards, such as Fenrir’s “Mace of the defiled king” and Medusa’s “ Helmet of the halfbreed Valkyrie”.
The eye on Fenrir’s shoulder pad and the blue stone on his tail ring were actually taken from the head imbedded in his mace and by collecting all gems and eyes the “Mace of the defiled king” becomes the “Mace of the cursed lord” gaining a powerful weapon art.
In order to obtain the pieces of the mace possessed by Fenrir, the player must summon him in two other fights: the first one is against Archduke Bowel, a boss that Circe will ask you to slay, and the second one is against a secret boss called “The king of nothing” ironically the king of Dite who is represented on the mace’s head.
