i was stuck in a gigantic rut today and felt like drawing some realism to get out of it. i always end up doing self-portraits when i get that urge though, because i prefer doing realism from life than from photos! for me it's more challenging to get colors/forms down that way. also in all my other self portraits i never get my face right. so yet again... for the hundredth time... a self portrait.haha it's creepy... i never realized how much i looked like my mom until i saw the thumbnail for this :b

I too am a self portrait junky. I always seem to fall back on drawing myself when I just can't seem to capture the one I'm trying for. I find it safer to draw myself badly than someone else terribly.

Your face is so natural! So I believe, that you've turn up your face to look in the mirror and draw yourseff. It so romantic!

i love selfportraits. i think everyone looks at himself differently than other people see him... and i think one draws one's imperfections and brings them out more than photos. and after i saw your newest ID i'm surprised to see this here - you're still pretty but you look soo different from that photo - and i think it's probably really what you see when you look into that mirror 
(if this sounds negative in any way, it's not intended to - i love your style, the portrait, and you are very pretty. sry for the long comment^^)
