how does her hair stay that volumous? who knows. drawn over a boredom sketch done in philosophy class. this is ariel (the little mermaid) obviously, for those who don't know :bscanned sketch, inked and colored in photoshop 5.

well, when you are underwater, your hair tends to float up a lot, giving the volumous look.

yeah but it's volumous above water too, like in her pink dress and all that jazz. the kiriban.. i think i still owe it to someone but i really haven't had time so i gotta look it up... somewhere in my notes i think.

I adore the almost pastellike shades of color you use, the magnificent small PERFECT little smiles you put on your characters, those magnificent life filled eyes, and the composition that always strikes me as flawless. It has got to be some kind of super volume adding extentions or something... yea... definitely volumenous extentions... maybe made out of red kelp... yea ... kelp... it is deffinitely the kelp.

you amaze me so much its insane. i freaking LOVE how you made her hair go everywhere and be so freaking huge XD!! the shading on it is absolutly incredible, i love the shade you put in to accent the shadows, wonderfully done. i also LOVE how you did the fin. it really really gives off a sparkling scaley look with a simple method ^_^ the way the little fins cross at the bottom is well done and cute too
