it is based on those sketches, yes! i wanted to make an illustration about the theme "solace," that's really the whole idea behind it - it's not all too personal for the rest.

Wow, the expression on your character's face is so prominent...you have certainly brought out a lot of emotion in this piece. I love the way you have used her hair as a way to contain her little world, as well as the limited palette to enhance the mood. Though the bright colour of her hair certainly makes for a nice contrast.
I've noticed a few darker pieces of yours coming into my inbox lately. I like it (though don't stop with the more colourful stuff, it's good to have a balance)

You are refining your style. For a few moments I stared at it and Noticed something was slightly different from your other pieces. And lately that's been the case with many of your pieces. I love to see artist making continual growth on the road to their greatest self discoveries. In the end, we all have unlimited potential in illustration. Painting is my Kryptonite, so I have a SPECIAL appreciation for artists who excel in painting. Keep up the good work.
