To answer Ken1171's question, megapov can do multi-tone shading.
I just did this piece as a "quicky" to experiment some more with megapov's cel rendering capabilities.

Oh, I also use postwork shadows when projection doesn't fall over 3D objects as well. Raytracing shadows takes too long!
