Description
Sometime simple might be better.Anyway, just playing around with modifying my skin shaders for povray. I have also been playing with the textures for DAZ's sassy hair.
Enjoy!

This really does look nice now I see it with a good monitor. Lots of stuff going on. Looks alive.
The hair has some moire interference in it which is too bad, but it's the skin that shines anyway.

The interference patterns can be taken care of if I increase the level of anti-aliasing. The skin was the real focus here. Thanks for noticing it.

It's very pretty...i duno but reminds me of Nel from SO: THEOT. only more..nude XD
I have a question, do you use already designed models and manipulate them using these tools and tutorials...or do u design each model by scratch?

As far as "human" models go, I use the already designed models and manipulate them. However, I often make my own props and sometimes clothing as well. Clothing is a real pain, so it is a pretty rare event I make my own. i do a lot of custom texture/material work though.

The tutorial part is not so difficult. In fact, Poseray has a pretty good tutorial with it. The real problem is the materials.
Povray has a very powerful material nodes... they are just *really* overwhelming to use. As a result, the render engine doesn't really ship with some useful materials and the user, basically, has to create his or her own. I have been creating material libraries for the last couple of years, but they are in a pretty messy state. I would like to include them as part of a tutorial, but sadly, I really don't want to go into explaining them.

Haha, isn't it nice when you work so hard to create a custom skin shader in POVray and people come to say how they like especially the hair?

I also like that other one where people claim this or that part of your fantasy or Anime character doesn't look so "realistic".

Thanks. That hat can morph into cat, mouse, dog and lynx shapes and it has automatic fits for AnimeDoll, Madoka, Aiko and TY2.

I don't know yet, it was something I wanted to create for a long time. ^^
I think it was convenient to have it for Easter renders. ^^

That looks fantastic...the skin looks very real, as do the eyes. The hair doesn't look quite realistic, but still looks amazing in and of itself. Awesome job!

It is a set of shaders I am working on that takes a skin texture and adds imperfections, sheen, and other things that make the skin more "real". It is, by far, the most complicated set of shaders I have ever done.

Oh pleeease don't tell me you are one of those purests that thinks that spending hours creating shaders nodes based on complex math models is a worthless effort because I didn't create the original texture map. *sigh* I have created full body textures before and it is one real pain in the ass.
If you are not one of those purests, forgive my rant. But I really do get sick of that attitude.

well it take more time, but the result and the satisfaction its more and i think you will agree with me right?? but if is matter of time i will agree with you to use premaked textures.

Oh well. At least you didn't give me a hard time about using Aiko as the model.
Sorry if I sounded short, but you wouldn't believe how often I get the "Oh... you use poser... I have to hate you now..." response.
My ultimate goal is to get rid of the texture and just use the shaders alone. They are almost there, but not quite yet. A lot of the dark spots, light spots, surface normals, and subtle shading has nothing to do with the texture map at all. But I still can't do things like rosey cheeks and makeup without a texture map. I really think I would do a lot more of my own textures if the bloody seems were not so difficult to deal with.

i see, i see, it doesnt matter of what model you use, is matter of how you use that model, and you, my friend, you have done things with the same model that i never seen before, so you gain my absolute respect like a 3d artist, and dont make case of those losers who say to you that you use poser, because they didn't know a crap about 3d

Thanks, and again, I'm sorry.
I do put a lot of work into this stuff and it is amazing how many people still think there is a "make art" button in poser. (I don't even use poser for rendering. I hate the firefly render engine built into poser.... )

ignorance my friend, ignorance, like i say before they say that they know about 3d, when they didnt can distinguish between a poser render and mental ray or pov ray render, well the world is full of people like that jeje.
