Description
The gun coils are all warmed up and ready to fire. This piece is more of a carrier to experiment with the texture blending features of Povray. I was also messing around with the HDRI lighting in Poseray.
Can't really say much more about it other than I've always wanted to do something with the liquid halo outfit.

Wow hell of a job!!! Nice, you should look at some pics of game named P.N.03, I think you should like it, looks of the "armor" a quite cool!! And for the guns look for the manga "Blame!" it's quite in your style!!!

No, just the modeling was done in Poser. Material assignment, lighting, and rendering was done via Poseray and Povray.

isn't poseray product by the same company that makes poser? like a standalone rendering software...?

Nope. Poseray is a free software program that converts between different 3D formats. It is geared towards creating Povray files though.

No Problem. I was going to write tutorial on using the freebies a while back, but something changed in DazStudio that made Poseray incompatible.... oh well....

2 questions, Poser or Daz|Studios and if its Daz, how'd you do the reflection?

The answer to the first question is neither. I use Povray as a raytracing engine.
As for the second question, Povray supports the ability to blend different materials together based on an image map or a function. The background in this scene blends a reflective surface into a stone material into a white material. This is a feature missing from both Poser and Daz Studio. I've just started playing with texture blending it and I have been blown away with what you can do with it.

Ah ok. Well, I guess I'm going to lack reflections unless I do some major photoshoping. Thanks.

Thanks! I was very, very, happy with the way the background turned out. I should be able to create some really wonderful materials using texture blending.

Whaaaa!! Take cover everyone!!! First the children, the women and the dark lords (apprentice)!! LOL! Totally cool - that outfit rocks and i like a lot the "frosted" background and her determined attitude... now please tell her to point that gun somewhere else?

But it's a really nice outfit. All the little "bobbles" on it can be posed individually.

I know, it's an impressive outfit. But in a way I feel more inclined to model it myself (challenge!!) than to but it.

Thanks for noticing the frame. I was worried it was to subtle, but making it stronger just overwhelmed the piece.
