From Beowulf on the Norse mythology has been Christianized and so the Valkyries were likened to angles. In reality the Valkyries image came from the crows and ravens who descended on the battlefields. The helmet is inspired.

Take this with a grain of salt! This piece represents the best I could ever get out of Firefly. It has got some real problems! I switched over to Povray a long time ago. Most of the pieces in my gallery was rendered with Povray.

Finally someone brought up a new impression of Valkyries. Your style is great, making a quite more war-like valkyrie is a great idea. Keep up the good work!

So, just to clarify (for my own curiosity) ... you textured this image? I read the poser part in the description and assumed that you didn't actually model it... I don't know what to comment on because I don't know exactly what you did...

Then comment on what it is.
Anyway.
The armor is a combination of several suits. I had to modify some of the pieces to fit together. The chain mail texture is my own. The metal materials are also my own definitions. I had to do some work on the body shape to get it to fit the armor. I also developed the post work techniques and the apophysis fractal in the background is also something I did as well. Camera setup and lighting are my own as well.

what's with the "simple"? It's so detailed @_@ I fell in love with it the minute I first saw it. The place where the wings are attached to the helmet looks a bit weird, though... BUT FAV ANYWAY!

The armor is a combination of one of Xurge 3D's sets and BATLAB;s valkery amor. The textures, (including the chainmail) are my own custom ones.

One might ask if her name is Lenneth, Silmeria, or Hrist... but I do enjoy your incarnation of this Nordic legend. Indeed, she does look the part of Battle-Maiden.

Awesome! Great work I'd say. Is that rendered by Firefly or PovRay? (I know you said FF in description, but the quality is just too good to believe it ^_^)

This was rendered in Firefly. There is some postwork in Photoshop. Yes, this piece really, I mean really, pushed the limit of what I could get out of Firefly.
