Description
What are those mischievous maids up to?I was originally going to call this image "How to Clean Wood", but then, thought better of it.
I just recently joined the club and decided to do a piece in honor.
There is a lot of detail in the scene.
The scene was rendered in Povray using scattering media effects for the smokey room. Everything in the background (and I mean everything.. uhg!) was modeled in wings3d. The characters are Aiko3 wearing ISOP's maid uniform.
Enjoy!

Beautiful image. You have a great gallery, I'm impressed. I'm trying to get into 3d programs so your gallery is nice inspiration.

Very sensual-but not in the usual "skanky" way that you usually see in pics of this subject. Great job

EVERYTHING?!?!? OH MY GOD. That is an INSANE level of detail! Great effort. UHG indeed! This is one of the most impressive pieces of work I have seen around anywhere.
Since I know for a fact how much work this is, I have to congratulate you on a first rate, drop dead gorgeous, piece of 3D art.
You absolutely kick ASS.

I still can't believe it took me as long to model a pencil as it did the desk! Ack! I never realized a pencil could be so bloody tough. (for me anyway)
BTW: Modeling the chair was a lot of fun. Not sure why, it just was.

It's something weird in humans. Making stuff is work, but the act of creation is so heady and fun, we can really get caught up in it. If there is a god, I think that one thing helps me connect because that one thing lets me understand. We got more universe than is useful or practical, but if we have an over achiever of a god....well, there we are!
That is a good looking chair. I can believe about the pencil. Deceptive geometry will get ya every time!

Very nice atmosphere. Really more "alive", with a graphic touch.

I was thinking more like smoke or dust than fog. Perhaps a fireplace somewhere or just an old house.
If the theme becomes a ghost story that would change everything.

I wanted to try for a painted kind of look this time around. I have also always wanted to do more with Povray's more advanced features, but lacked the processing horsepower in the past. Even the new machine had trouble with this one. Time to resurrect that render farm project....

Sadly... my biggest problem is how to get power to the computers without blowing a breaker....

As far as I know, no computer is fast enough when it comes to raytracing because of its brute-force nature. That's why some of the best professional rendering engines like V-Ray and Maxwell yield great results but are also some of the slowest ever to render.
