Description
Phew! The first one is finally done. This is the first of a series of D&D character designs I am doing for my friends. The first character is Aerin and she is a fighter that specialized in two handed use of scimitars (Elvish scimitars in this case).Anyway, I hope you like this Elaine.

What's her AmorClass btw? Doesn't seem that high, I wonder how she can survive in that minimal armor

*fave'd* ... Her self-assurance is quietly compelling, and although her tools and decoration are ornate, they come off as being elements of quiet pride, rather than ostentation. If any such warrior can let her demeanor rather than her weaponry speak for her, she's the one.
(Oh, and I'll second a comment about her ears: They're not animalistic and not minimal, they simply fit her human proportions. A rare golden mean here.)

One of the best elves I have ever seen on DA. Love how the ears are right around perfect... they don't look like they belong on a donkey or an alien bug!

Hey i'm wondering if you would do me a favor... i need someone to draw me a picture for this character i've created in a book i'm writing... i want her to look realistic like your elves... She's a little short about 5'3 and she wears leather armor kinda skimpy... and she has long white hair... wolf ears and wolf's tail. and she has fangs but the fangs don't make her look vicious like they would on most characters. they're just a part of her you know what i mean? if you could do this i would be greatly appriciative. i'm not an artist but i know goos art when i see it. and you've got talent.

Wow, that's very beautiful, great job!!
There's a lot of cool outfits included, I recognize most, you did an amazing job combining them, they really look like one single outfit. Also, it's great to see other people besides me still using V3

Very pretty - hell, she's lovely. I'm wondering though if she going to cause more problems than she'd worth in that sexy, but not overly practical outfit for fighting. Her body is toned, first class; already 2 of fighter are arguing over who gets to march next to her. The dwarf is muttering something about elvish girls dressed more as tavern wenches and the cleric is flagellating himself to avoid temptation. The sorceress, who I suspect is a lesbian, is eyeing up and down in a way she didn't do me. It should be an interesting adventure.

I like this model. One question, how do you create the hair for your models?

I, usually, start with a pre-made model and then apply deformers (magnets, morphs, etc...) to get the effect I want.
I have modeled my own hair and decided I'm not so good at it. The uv_mapping just drives me insane.

Thanks. I usually worked for video game, and create the hair by by polygons, but lately I worked on a high rez model for a render and looking for some god suggestion about. I use 3D Max and the fur tool are pretty hard.

Very pretty character, however her current dress would be entirely useless in a combat situation of any sort.

Hello, sweetheart!
I'm just letting you know that I've featured this amazing image in my journal this week! If for any reason you would rather not be included in this journal entry, please let me know and I can remove your image. Otherwise, I look forward to seeing what else you create!

what program do you use to make this or how do you make these kind of figures?

Lokai2000 In reply to kthart [2008-05-22 16:18:45 +0000 UTC]
I use several programs. Wings3D, Poser, Poseray, PIBL/IBX, Povray/Megapov, and Photshop. (I think I got them all.)
I didn't create these particular figures. These were modified, pre-rigged, characters. I have just recently (Last 5 months) gotten into creating my on characters, clothing, and rigging. (I have a whole new respect for people that do this for a living.)

poseray converts various 3D formats to the Povray format. I use it to convert .obj files in this case.
