Description Please full view this. The small thumbnail just doesn't do this any kind of justice.... AT ALL!

I think it is pretty safe to assume that this was inspired by Final Fantasy XII.

When I started the "Viera" project, this was the scene I originally had in mind where Vein and V'Jal encounter a street vendor in one of the cities of Ivalice. I, strongly, had to resist the urge to place a semi-transparent brown and orange box floating over the vendor.

I'm not going to go into the creation of the Vein and V'Jal characters as that is covered in other pieces. The rest of the scene was a *lot* of work though. All of the architecture in the background (including the sign) was modeled in 3DSMax. All but three of the pots were also modeled in 3DSMax. The rug on the ground and the "apron" on the front of V'Jal are cloth simulations. A *lot* of the textures and material are also custom creations. Etc.. etc... If anyone would like more detail, I will try to answer what I can.

-embarassed- I did not know you did this already, otherwise I wouldn't have commented for you to do it in the other Viera work you did. I apologize.

This is Fantabulastic! I love it, and can imagine the conversation going on between the three. Everything is so vivid and FANTABULASTIC, it makes me feel like I'm there.

In fact, the "green gal" V'Jal is making me soo horny!

Not only is she beautiful and cute, and well dressed and well rendered, and in mellow suroundings, but her stance...

At the moment of orgasm, we tense our legs and spine in a way that she most eloquently illustrates. Can't imagine what would happen if one were to tickle her eyebrows!?

Emergency: could anybody lend me a feather, pleease?

Better yet: a toothbrush, to brush her ears, yeah!!

eee, viera!
zomg, the scene itself is so detailed, I love it!
both the setting and characters are equally good
and... >.> <.< (needs more Fran)

Viera are supposed to be taller than that, neeh?
oh well, j'adore nonetheless! *faves*

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lokai2000 In reply to VariaZim [2007-01-19 18:50:58 +0000 UTC]

Taller? They are already a good head taller than the standard character. How much taller do they need to be?
I think the mean look and tall hair of Fran makes her look taller than she really is. But then, I've been wrong before.

This is funny --> "Please full view this. The small thumbnail just doesn't do this any kind of justice.... AT ALL!" <-- because I've been bandwidth challenged for many days. I did look at the thumb, though, and thought it looked great. So, now I'm home, no longer challenged, and I see the full view. Well, Jesus F__ing Christ! It's great. I think it has a wonderful quality to it, like a painting in a museum. And a great job on the Photoshop'd textures too.

Programs.

3DSMax for modeling (when needed).
Poser for scene assembly and camera work.
Poseray to convert Poser files over to Povray format.
PIBL to generate the scene lighting.
Povray/Megapov to do the material work and rendering.
Photoshop for any postwork and texture creation..

*phew*

Wow...Thats a lot of programs you used. I really need to get into the graphic world a little more deeper than I am right now. I'm just stuck with what I get from Daz and the other sites that support DAZ|Studios. (well, I use Photoshop to). LOL But Poseray, PIBL and Povray....wow...lots of work went into this and it shows.

NEKOSEI [2006-12-31 16:03:47 +0000 UTC]

Must... learn... polygon... hair... techniques...

Seriously, that has been vexing me for quite some time, and even though I can create a character, or a complex ship, and even re-create them, I have never figured out how to get polygon hair working. I can't seem to wrap my head around what I need to build that will work.

Animation Master has a great particle hair system, which is what I've been using mainly, but having it with shadows, reflections, and multipasses eats up processor power like a whore.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lokai2000 In reply to NEKOSEI [2007-01-02 23:21:41 +0000 UTC]

Join the crowd! I end up using hair models for poser and modifying them (if needed). My attempts to make my own hair models so far have failed badly. I think I just have problems understanding how hair should flow.

I am getting the hair texturing down though.
