Description
My eyes lazily trail (y/n)'s leg. She's laying down on the bed, one bare leg exposed amid the blankets. She's so beautiful, it almost makes me a little crazy. Well, more than usual anyway. I reach out and brush my fingers along her smooth skin, thinking just how lucky I am. She shifts, smiling.
"Wade," she mumbles.
Is she dreaming about me??
Nah...she couldn't be, I decide. But then she moves again, giggling. "Wade, stop" she mumbles. She swats at the air as if pushing away someone.
I grin, turning on my side to face her so I could better watch this. I feel quite pleased I could invade her dreams. I only wish I was there.
Finally, she stretches out, smiling pleasantly. Then she opens her eyes and sees me staring at her, a grin on my face. She returns my look for a minute, still smiling. Then I lean forward and whisper, "What were you dreaming about?"
At this she pauses, her eyes widening. Then a blush spreads over her cheeks, down her neck and stopping at the blankets. I am half tempted to see if the rest of her is turning red too. I love that color on her. It's my color.
"What did I do?" she asks in horror.
"Nothing really. Just...moaned my name...." I say nonchalantly.
Her face expression is indescribable. I burst out laughing.
"Wade!" she cries. "It's not funny."
I attempt to straighten my face, but it doesn't work and I just start laughing again. "I'm sorry," I say between gasps.
She sits up, crossing her arms over her chest. "It was a horrible dream anyway," she grunts.
At that, I stop. "Horrible?"
"Yeah. You wouldn't stop bothering me. Kinda like now."
I lean forward. "I know that's not true. I saw your smile. It was a good dream. I could make it a reality. I don't like being part of dreams I'm not in," I add, voice deepening a little.
She swallows. "No. It was horrible."
"Really?" I lift my mask from my lips, skimming them along her arm, making my way to her neck. She tries to act unaffected, but I feel her shiver.
"Like this then?"
"Yeah," she chokes out. "Like this."
I nip at her ear and she gasps, pulling away. "Okay okay!" she holds up her hands. "It was a great dream, okay?" she mumbles. I grin, satisfied.
"I knew it," I say smugly. "But that still doesn't let you off the hook!" I lunge for her and she breaks out in squeals, laughing.
"Wade, you're crazy," she giggles.
I kiss her. "But I'm your kinda crazy."
"Yes," she agrees, making my heart beat a little faster. "You are."
