Description
You blink your eyes open, looking up into the most perfect pair of blue eyes you've ever seen. Charles leans over you, stroking your hair softly.
"Good morning," he whispers, smiling. You press your lips together to keep the ridiculous grin from overtaking your face.
"Good morning," you reply.
"How'd you sleep?"
"Perfectly," you grin. "You?"
He grins back and chuckles. "Well, what little I slept was wonderful." You blush at his remark. Embarrassed, you brush it off with a joke. "Maybe you should have slept more instead then." You turn away, curling with your back to him, and close your eyes.
Charles laughs. He slips an arm around your waist and brushes his lips against your ear. "It was far more wonderful when I wasn't sleeping," he murmurs. He presses his lips to your neck and kisses it tenderly, making you shiver.
"Was it?" you ask. His lips move to your shoulder.
"Very." You sigh in contentment. It's quiet for a few minutes.
"What are you thinking?" Charles asks.
You turn your head to look at him. "You're not going to read my mind?" you say, laughing.
Charles's lips twitch. "I would never do that."
You roll your eyes. "I was thinking....would you like breakfast?"
"I would love breakfast," he says, smiling.
Beaming, you start to get up, but Charles grabs your hand gently and you turn back to see what he wants. Tugging you back onto the bed, he presses his lips to yours in a heart rending kiss, leaving you breathless when he pulls away. You stare at him, shocked and still tingling. He grins and leans back against the pillows. "I don't have to read your mind to know what you're thinking."
"I'll be back with breakfast," you breath. You pull away, and still dazed, walk unsteadily toward the door. You can feel Charles's eyes on you the whole way there.
