Description
When you wake up you are immediately aware of another presence in the room. You look to the corner, where the shadows can easily hide someone.
"Kurt?" you call softly. Kurt steps out of the dark, toward your bed.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to wake you. I just didn't-"
You pat the bed and Kurt sits down. You study his face, which is hard since he's blue and it's dark in your room.
"Did something happen?"
"I- I had to...." you see Kurt shake his head. "I'm a freak."
"Hey, hey," you encase his face in your hands, turning his head to look in your direction. You know he can see you clear as day because of his night vision. "You are not a freak. Don't ever say that to me again." You laugh. "Especially not here." Here being Xavier's school for mutants.
He laughs softly in return, reaching up to cover your hands with his own. "Mein Liebling," he says sweetly. You blush and duck your head.
He lowers your hands and reaches out to lift your chin. He leans forward and kisses you gently. You sigh.
Then he pulls back and stands up.
"Wha-where are you going?" you stammer.
"I have to go. It's not safe for you when I'm here."
"Kurt-"
"Sweet dreams, Liebling," you hear, before he's gone.
You fall onto your bed, raising your fingers to your lips. You fall asleep, dreaming about your nightcrawler.

Translation: Mein Liebling= my darling
