Description
You traipse through the forest, searching for life. Any life at all. Well, living life. You become so focused on finding someone, that you don't even notice the walker appear from behind the tree. It launches itself at you, throwing you to the ground. You stab at it frantically and it takes several tries before the knife pierces the brain. You push the walker off you, jumping and scanning the woods around you. There doesn't appear to be any more.
You keep moving, more alert this time. When the next shape comes from behind the trees, you're ready. You raise your knife, about to plunge it into a meaty skull.
"Wait! Stop, (y/n), it's me!!" a familiar voice yells. You stop the knife in mid-air, panting slightly.
Glenn. You sag in relief and quickly drop your arm.
"Glenn." He relaxes, pulling you forward into a tight hug.
"What happened?" you ask desperately.
"I don't know. I can't find anyone else. I've been searching for hours," Glenn shakes his head.
Your hope sinks a little. Earlier that morning, a bunch of walkers had attacked the group, spreading you all out. It has been hours and you have just now found Glenn.
"What do you we do?" you hate to ask the question, but you need an answer. Glenn looks at you determinedly.
"We keep looking." Then he moves past you to keep walking, setting his shoulders and constantly looking about for walkers. You watch him go for a minute, just appreciating the man you're with. There isn't anyone else you'd rather be stuck in a walker infested world with.
Glenn glances back. "You coming?"
You nod your head, hurrying to catch up.
