Back again with a fresh painting to celebrate the Christmas season! ^^ I really love these two sweeties together. Such cuties
I want to give a huge shout out to VanillaGhosties for guiding me through the process from line art to line-less as its still a huge struggle for me. Thank you for your guidance as it would not have came out the way it did.
Perhaps the biggest thing I've learned through painting this is that art is not easy. Most of you, regardless of ability or where you're at, know that it's a never ending uphill fight to create something more impactful than the last. And when something doesn't work out immediately, you've got to push on through. If you put in only a little because you're afraid of failure, you won't ever see where that idea may go. Give it your best, let yourself fail, learn from your errors, but most importantly, be confident in knowing you gave it your all.
Although I don't know fully what I'm doing, here's a WIP xD

So what's gonna happen with all those leftover drawings? It'd be a shame for them to never see the light of day. And yes, perhaps the best way would be to do headshots. Id probably take forever doing limbs and all that! If you're concerned about showing favouritism, I'd just wait for the person's birthday and then draw something for them. But then again, you'd have to be a wizard at knowing everyone's date... Oh how complicated people are. Why can't I be a pony

Eeehhh...it could have been better, I caught a flu right on Christmas Eve and I spent Xmas (and a few of the following days) either in bed or at my desk, because I was too afraid I might infect anyone of my family, so I kind of banished myself into my room

I wouldn't be surprised if we copied the exact same reference XD I started doing the same as well. I copied show vectors for like a year before I even dared doing some poses from imagination. I only drew like once a month though, cuz I hid everything and rarely got time by myself XD
You should totally post them up! Maybe a big compilation in a journal entry, even! I know I'm not the only one who would be interested to see them!

Highly likely, expecially if you too typed in the Google search bar a simple "Fluttershy vector" and then picked the one that looked the easiest to reproduce on paper

HAHA So true. It's one of the first hits too! And for sure, you need to have a reference to better develop the skill. Although, starting out, I wasn't really focused on getting good, but more just draw cuz I needed to vent some creativity. And then kinda discovered I liked to draw!
