Description
Don't hate me----------------------------------------------
I am very, very pleased with how this one came out! Felt like a big step from my last piece, Beauty Shy
But honestly, this was heavily influenced by carlotta-guidicelli 's in which ponies sighed
I picked up a few shading techniques and styles from her artworks. It really helped speed up my time spent drawing this one!
If theres one thing I could tell you on how to draw, it is to learn from the best!
Enjoy
Edit: I scanned it again to provide a higher quality view.

As I say - old arts deserve attention too! It took the time and effort to make them, and some are really awesome/cool, and even if something's bad you gonna appreciate the effort (and it's not bad <3) <3

Oh, very grabbing and emotive! Well done. I actually started listening to one of my older recordings, which was of a sad story, and this would probably be an appropriate reaction. Cue the plaintive music.
Beautiful rendition of Fluttershy! However, the thick tear running down her left eye throws me a little. I understand it makes sense from a cartoon perspective that a bigger tear would convey bigger sadness, but the thickness is what perturbs me. Perhaps, if the droplets were separated (as they look like they are just about to separate in the composition) it might seem less like goo running from her eye. Maybe it's just because I have a weird perspective that has me seeing it that way, but this nonetheless a minor issue.
Since nobody else has remarked about this, it probably shouldn't have you worried; my brain's just a little different, I guess.

I like sad things in general, and I can see where you're going with the remark about the tear. I guess there's still a few parts of my drawing that I like to keep show accurate, but i think you're right! I aim for a realistic approach to my drawings, and after pointing it out, it seems to be excessive. I think the reason it ended up big was because the tears were too small for me to put in details like shading, shadows and reflection that i probably got carried away. Ill make sure next time to apply this information correctly Constructive criticism always helps
thanks!

Oh, I adore sad things to a certain extent. It helps offset how foolish I tend to be in real person.
I'm sorry if my wording wasn't quite nice; I have a hard time with criticism, and, as someone who doesn't draw much, I'm not always good at giving feedback that considers the practical aspects of the act of drawing. However, I do understand what you're saying. I do like the reflection you put on the tears, and I should've pointed that out.
You're very welcome! I'm honestly surprised my insight is useful to you. You're just so good at this.

Well, you seem quite the opposite of foolish!
No worries, I'm always open to constructive criticism. How can I improve if I shut my eyes and ears? Having a fresh new look also helps to pointing out errors. Seeing that you're the only person analyzing my drawings, it's great hearing from you!
Dawww thanks

I can be quite the jokester, and my sense of humor can be quite zany.
Ah, true. I always taking criticism of my writing seriously, so I should've considered that.
Anytime!
