It was so sad that the monster didn't get to eat the little girl... we were so upset at the end.

They let it eat the bunnies, and yet not that vexatious kid?

This looks like a lame adaptation of "Terror from the Deep", that truly creepy H.G. Wells story.

Are you thinking about the story The Sea Raiders?

Ah, that's the one. My marine terror stories must have been blending again. Apparently re-watching Alien & CHUD can be hazardous to one's memory.

Why are all b-movie monsters attracted to human women? I mean, this guy's a snail!

Well, he actually eats her in the film, though this is of course only implied (this being a 50's film).

I love this movie! It has some of my favorite creatures designs ever! I haven't seen it in forever though.

It's a great monster movie. You see a lot of the critters, and they do quite a bit of damage.

They're actually rehersing their dance class project.

It's probably not what she was expecting when she went to the beach.

I was actually thinking of this movie the day before you posted this, although the reason might not impress you. Actually, an episode of Pokemon was on television and the Gyrados reminded me of these monsters.
One thing I especially remember about this movie was the bad ‘Day For Night’ filming, as they call it. The scenes were filmed in the day but dark filters on the camera made it look a bit like night, if night under a very bright full moon with very deep shadows.
