Description
While strolling home Tom is dragged down the hole of the badger-folk. They intend to keep him there, but Tom being the master of the forest they must eventually release him.Related content

They seem kind of anthropomorphic in the Tom Bombadil poem, but outside of that I haven't seen anything further about that. But since Tom Bombadil is a magical being I'm assuming he can talk to anything in nature.

I'd guess they're at roughly the same level as the thrush in The Hobbit and moth in Lord of the Rings.
