Description
The potatoe-headed Abura-sumashi; a weird but popular Japanese Yokai from the island of Amakusa . Its name can be translated as "oil wringer", and it may be connected to the extraction of oil from the seeds of the Camellia sasanqua plant. This image was done for a book project about the creatures of japanese folklore.Related content

I have, but I'm more inspired by traditional Yokai art.

I thinks he's a very happy monster. His job is to guard a mountain pass and scare the crap out of anybody who goes through it.
