we all have different ideas of what is beautiful, in art, in nature, in the body. this is my vision, my perfection, my desire.

added a watermark. i know this will fall into other webmasters' hands and i don't want them thinking it's real!

having read more - I think I can understand your motivations for putting it here.

It provokes conversation and thought - which are positive.....I still think it was a very dangerous thing to do to give it such a positive title...

I cannot pass judgement or criticize for this piece.... the reason being is simple.
It is an image on a screen and I sure don't know you well enough to be either concerned or outraged as to your motivations in putting this here.... Art that is memorable is usually that which causes a sudden emotive response.
What I can say, is on a physiological level... what this sort of disorder leads to.
When the body ceases to intake the required amount of food it needs for survival.... then the first thing that is used is the body's natural reserves - the fat cells.
When these cells are no longer... the body begins to digest itself in order to continue to function
by this stage, the stomach is pretty much secreting digestive juices constantly as the brain's auto-functions is still preparing the body for the intake of food.... which can lead to painful stomach ulcers.... after this stage muscle tissue is irreparably damaged as the body breaks it down for nutrients.....all muscle tissue gets used - this includes wasting of the primary muscle the heart... which is usually the COD in anorexia sufferers (heart attacks are not as quick as people think)
Also, at this point due to the lack of minerals the body needs... the calcium in the teeth and bones gets reduced vastly increasing the chance of osteoporosis (AKA brittle bone syndrome) and teeth becoming chipped or broken...

what I am curious about is why anyone would find something that causes the above as beautiful.

That's kind of like getting sexually aroused by watching terminal cancer patients

I can say from bitter personal experience - there's nothing beautiful about this.

Not beautiful. Sick.
There's a difference between having your own opinion of beauty and have a mental disorder.

you should be happy with you. [link]

not this gross image of what beauty is. thin is unhealthy and dangerous. perhaps you should seek some help or look further into the affects of what thinspiration does to youth, more specifically younger teens. its an illness, and very destructive.

please seek help.

i couldnt have helped myself to make an objection:the spine looks a bit odd cause it starts normally with the cervical part and then for the thoracal, lombar and all the way down to the sacral segment it has an unusual smooth appearance, it misses those vertebral texture...hope u know what i mean...otherwise, i must say it is quite beautiful in its own anorexic look.well done

Thanks for the feedback - no pun intended. At the time I created this, I had never seen someone this thin and thus had no reference. Now, after being in treatment and meeting so many others, I would have done things differently.
