PERSONAL HISTORY:
Kalkus was born to Roksanna and Lansor Acron in Wolfheim, a small village of Valhalla Province in the United Lupine States in 2651. Little is known about his early childhood, other than the fact that it was plauged by an absentee father and constant war. His mother did what she could to protect him, although this also made him naive and introversive. These qualities also made it difficult for his peers to accept him, and more often than not, they rejected him. He lost his father in combat at the age of 5 and his mother during a surprise air raid during the Tharsuis Standoff at the age of 7. These tragic events would plauge Kalkus for the rest of his life.
General Gregori Borislav, who had been one of Lansor's close friends, was able to adopt the young Kalkus and put him through military school. Under the watchful eyes of the headmaster, Kalkus was recognized as a prodigy in the area of military tactics. But, this was not enough to distract him from his emotional problems and he was frequently sent to the school psycholgist for evaluation.
At age 12, adoption policies were changed in the Resistance Collective, and all children with psychological problems were required to be under state care. Kalkus, under the somewhat true impression that state child care was ghastly, ran away. He did not make it far. Confederate agents had tagged him as an excellent testbed for genetic experiments, and thus seized the oppurtunity to kidnap him.
Kalkus was conscripted in the SPECTRUM project, a research initiative to create super-soldiers using genetic and chemical alteration methods. Not much is known about what transpired during Kalkus' time in SPECTRUM, but it is clear that he was the direct cause of the project's abandonment after he slaughtered all participants, including the other test subjects.
He returned at the chronological age of 18 to Commonwealth territories, at that time the Resistance Collective, and was immediatley conscripted into a penal battalion for the crime of resisting state custody. As it had in the academy, his combat prowess shone through, and after several botched missions in Tharsius, he was the last of his platoon. Commonwealth brass moved him out of the penal battalions into regular service, and then transfered him again to the Special Warfare Division. Kalkus climbed the ranks quickly, reaching the rank of Captain in little more than seven years of service. He became a commissioned Brigadier five years later.
He currently serves as the senior operator for the elite 511th SWG, a position he has held for nine years.
PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE:
Kalkus speaks only to acknowledge and give orders, ask critical questions, impart important information at the request of his superiors, or some other purpose he considers worthy. It is not difficult to approach him, but it is difficult to know him because of psychological scaring from an early age. Trust is something he gives very few people, but he is more than willing to lay down his life for those he cares about. He has a hard time expressing his feelings, a trait that has alternatley helped and hindered him. He is distant at times, but will remain civil to the best of his abilities. He will rarely become actively hostile unless seriously provoked, and will radiate his rage rather than focus it on any one thing. A side-effect of this is a sometimes initmidating aura that drives others away.
On the job, he maintains a professional attitude to the best of his abilities, and does occaisionaly allow emotions to take over if they will increase his combat capability. He is mostly desensitized to most horrors of war.

---ARMOR SPECIFICATIONS---
Ground Infantry Combat Environment Suit
The GICES is the consummate battle suit and the latest in performance enhancing technologies for the ordinary soldier. Development began in 2681, when it became apparent that the steel helmets and flak jackets being used by most soldiers in the field was inadequate for the modern battlefield. In 2685, the program developed a stop-gap solution: ceramic and aramyid body armor. While this new armor significantly improved infantry survival rates, it was cumbersome and heavy. Enemy soldiers were still physically superior and much more damage resistant. Thus, in 2683, work on the new GICES-II suit began in order to level the battlefield.
In 2701, work was complete and the armor completed field testing with flying colors.
Many problems, such as portable power sources and compact physical ability multipliers were ecountered. Most of these problems were solved using technology reverse-engineered off of artifacts left behind by the Ancients discovered in the previous century that were just then being understood.
The basic GICES-II suit is versatile and very durable. A modular upgrade system allows for the customization of any part for the intended purpose.

Let me see. A hybrid between medieval paladin armor and futuristic battle-suit armor?
I really do not know what you have in your mind,
but I was thinking somewhere along the lines of grey-black (or white-ish) armor. Kinda like MJOLNIR but... with a bit less of a military taste.
Umm...it probably is just going to be the back view.

Do not worry. I am very proper to give credit where it is due. My telepathy bandwidth is being occupied by my network of friends for instant homework collaboration instances. And clown stripes are the win!

All of my humans look like wooden cadavers with rigor-mortis that got run over by a semi-truck.

AeonReclaimer In reply to LoneSentry [2008-03-10 22:46:31 +0000 UTC]
...no. A semi truck would leave markings on it.
A more accurate vehicle would be the steamroller.
Though that could be remedied with shading.

Or a comic wood chipper.
