Here's my entry for SportyPeach9891 's challenge this week; hope you like it! I cannot express my love for the art of ballet; even though I took it twice but was a little too impatient to really get into it, it's one of the most beautiful and also excruciating forms of dance known to man. I've binged so many performances of Prokofiev's Cinderella (www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYmmCb… ) that I've practically memorized it, which is a far cry nicer to listen to nonstop than his Battle on the Ice (harrowing and actually traumatizing: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyDKez… ), and I don't think I can ever get enough of Tchaikovsky (the only Nutcracker performance that really broke me: www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6NCE9… , www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1_242… ); nevertheless, while I've never actually seen the ballet for it (I honestly do prefer the Disney short), my absolute favorite ballet is Stravinsky's Firebird: www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZkIAV… . She looks beautiful! I’ve only ever seen one ballet, which was The Nutcracker, and that was years ago. It was a combined birthday and Christmas present from my godmother.
