Ha ha ha what if Skye joined the Ace Ops? Just kidding.

Unless...

Yeah, I've thought about this a LOT, honestly more than regular Grimmwalker if I'm honest.

But yeah, what if instead of Skye being treated like a science experiment, Skye was instead treated as an ally, or hell, even just a person? Maybe Ironwood would have a brief moment of conscience when he finds out about Skye's existence and decides to nurture her abilities instead of trying to control them. Granted there would be a lot of obstacles to overcome, the fact that Grimm are constantly drawn to her presence being at the top of the list, but that's why Atlas has scientists, right? One visit to Pietro later, and Skye had a fashionable hair pin to dampen the signal she unconsciously gives off.

There's a bunch more to this AU I've thought about. Like what if Ironwood saw Skye as a kind of adopted daughter, softening him a bit more and maybe helping to not make him such a crazy dictator type when the time came? What if the other Ace Ops helped to teach the newest and youngest member of their team and eventually saw themselves as a kind of family to the young girl who had never had one, would that help them learn to grow closer and work better together? And Penny... well, maybe a young Skye might have wandered off during one of her routine visits with Dr. Poledina and she found his early prototype of Penny's artificial intelligence, so Penny might get her first friend much, much earlier.

Anyway, this is just one of those ideas I couldn't keep out of my head, and with all this free time I've had lately I figured I'd toss it out there and see how you guys felt about it.

Will there be more? We'll see. But I will say this idea really intrigues me.
