Description Skye stood frozen in place. She wouldn't be able to hide what she was from people anymore. She looked back at the retreating forms of the two boys who had been attacking her, they screamed in terror as they fled.

"Monster", they yelled.

Skye hung her head. They weren't wrong. She looked at the pale blue markings on her palms and the back of her hands, going all the way up her arms. Not to mention the ones everywhere else on her body.

What was she? Why was she like this?

The blue haired girl looked up to the one who'd come to her rescue, wondering if they possessed the answers. But if the pale colored Beowolf knew the truth, they certainly weren't talking. It was too busy watching the two children running away from them, the beasts ears laid flat and it's teeth bared. It's eyes and markings had returned to their calming blue, but the Beowolf still had a vicious look about it as it growled lowly at the other humans.

Skye wanted to believe that her friend had only been trying to protect her, but she could still feel the burning bloodlust that had been burning inside it a few moments ago. The Beowolf had wanted the boys dead... and so had she. Years of physical and emotional abuse had come to a head in one moment, all thanks to one thrown rock. Skye could feel the drying blood in her hair from the gash the stone had made in the back of her head. She'd never felt that angry before, everything had just gone... red.

She hated them, but in the end she'd saved them.

She'd called off her friend at the last moment, sparing them the wrath of the enraged Beowolf. She didn't want to hurt anyone. She wasn't like them.

And now... now they knew about her. Those boys would go running home now to tell their parents. To tell them about the freak that talks to Beowolves...
Soon the whole village of Chrysalis would know about her. What would they to her when the found out?

She knew exactly what they'd do. They'd hurt her. Lock her away. Make sure she never saw her friend again.

Skye clenched her fists tight. Hot tears beginning to stream down her face. She couldn't remember ever being so scared. What could she do? She was just a little girl, despite what the other people in her life thought. Skye's shoulders began to shake as she cried harder and harder. She felt her legs get wobbly and she fell to her knees.

The Beowolf looked down at Skye and gave her a curious(?) grunt. The girl with the blue markings looked up at her friend, her cheeks still soaked. The beast cocked his head to one side before leaning in and sloppily licking the girls face, as if it was trying to remove the tears. In spite of everything, Skye smiled, before wiping her cheek (mainly to remove the excess saliva on it).

She'd never met anything like this; "monster" as people called it, before. Human's hated her, normal animals feared her, but Grimm? Grimm seemed to understand her. The creature craned it's neck down so it was at Skye's level and sniffed at her a bit, as if was trying to ascertain what was hurting her so much. Skye reached out and rubbed the side of the Grimm's head affectionately, her markings glowing blue the second she made contact with it's body, as did the one's on the Beowolf's mask. The beast leaned into the touch and hummed happily(?).

Skye sighed. There was so much she didn't know about her "gift", and now it looked like she'd never get the chance to find out. The towns people would make sure she never saw another Grimm ever again once they got a hold of her.

But what if they didn't?

What if she just... ran?

The idea seemed so simple. Running off into the wilderness with her friend. Never having to deal with the villagers, or any humans for that matter, ever again. She could picture it now; sitting in a field miles from any kingdom or anything pertaining to mankind, just her and her friend. They could do anything, she could spend all day making flower crowns for her friend to wear if she wanted. Together. Happy. Forever.

But she couldn't. She knew that. She'd never survive outside the walls of Chrysalis, not even with a Beowolf on her side. She didn't know much of the outside world, aside from what she'd read in her books, but Skye knew that it was harsh and bloody on a good day out there. Their were monsters out there worse than Beowolves, and she had no way of knowing if she could even reach out to those ones like she did with her friend. She was afraid of people, but she was terrified of the outside world.

No, this village wasn't perfect, it was far from it, but it was safe.

Maybe she could fix things? It might not be too late. If she went straight to her parents she could tell her side of things, explain that her friend wasn't dangerous and neither was she. She could show them if they wanted. Skye took a deep breath, she could do this, she could make this work, she had to believe that.

She really didn't have any choice.

So Skye turned away from the Beowolf in front of her, but she felt the short sleeve of her dress get caught on something as she moved. She looked back and saw her friend had bitten down on her sleeve, its sharp teeth holding her in place. The beast looked back at her with shining blue eyes, it almost seemed like it didn't want her to go...

Skye smiled reassuringly at her friend. "It's okay Lunie." Skye said, reaching out with her free arm to scratch the Beowolf behind the ear. "I'll be back tomorrow."

The Beowolf reluctantly let go of the girls sleeve. Skye looked down at the small tear the beast had made with it's bite. She'd be annoyed, but really it was the least of her problems at this point.

And with that, Skye took a deep breath and set out into the lions den to face her parents. She'd known this day would come, ever since she'd found her friend wounded in the forest outside her village, the day she'd found out just how different she was from other people. It was time to stop hiding what she was. She prayed she wouldn't regret this decision.

Skye set off into the village as the Beowolf sat where she'd left it. The Grimm had it's eyes glued to the young girl until she was out of sight, then it began whining, and clawing at the ground anxiously. Then the Beowolf bolted off after her.

Oops I accidently wrote a fan fiction again. Fuck my life amirite?

I just needed to draw something. I've been playing Legend of Zelda almost non-stop for four days, and needed to prove I could still draw (and apparently write) a thing. SO here we have a heartbreaking look at Skye's inner thoughts after Tale of the Grimmwalker Chapter 2.

I'm starting to get the shakes right now, so I better get back to playing it. Because it's frustrating and ruining my life and I love it.

K BYE FOREVER.

She should have run away. It was best to let go since the rest won't accept her
