What makes me so upset with the show's design is 1) she's a recolor, and 2) Moondancer actually had a really nice, actually pretty design

The only thing bad about her design is that she's a recolor. I think making her not look pretty and flawless like all the other mares gives her much more character. A lot of people are saying she is ugly. I understand that you were just doing this for fun, but other people are taking this too far. They are saying stuff about her bushy eyebrows, her color scheme, her " ugly sweater ", taped glasses, and messy hair. It just makes me sad when people call her ugly.Β
I agree that she may not be the prettiest mare in Canterlot, but no pony needs to be pretty.Β
Because of her interesting, different design, she is one of my favorite characters in mlp.

Aw, I thought her thick eyebrows and messy mane gave her design a lot of character. She might not have been all-too pretty, but her slightly disshevelled appearance suited her at least.

People complaining that she is a recolour of twilight - Pretty sure they did that because Twinkleshine and Lemon hearts have the same mane, Minuette and Lyra have the same mane so it makes sense that Twilight and Moondancer have the same mane, I guess ^^

I didn't like her show design at all! The colors were fine but she was a recolor of Twilight, the way her mane was tied was rather ugly, and they was such a nasty sweater... In other words: I love your design for her!!! They should have used this!

I like this one and the comic version of Moondancer; I'd be okay with either of those being canon, but the real one just doesn't really look very good in my opinion, and her mane is just a recolour of Twilight's -.- so this is way better! Nice job!

I wish there were some sort of transformation at the end. I didn't mind the sweaters and eyebrows, but putting her bangs in a messy ponytail on the top of her head... It was just ew.

I didn't even see that. There was a flashback that showed her with it, but I didn't even see a final change after all was said and done. And, I don't totally mind her having Twi's mane style because its supposed to be a parallel between how far Twilight has come and what she could have been had she not found friendship, I just wish the ridiculous and messy hairstyle was fixed after she realized having friends is a good thing.

Well, people like this version better because it's more of a "flawless" and "sleek" look.. while it looks nice and all, I still prefer canon.. and it's kind of odd how people all want to see a perfect Moondancer instead of the more realistic one.
